Infrared LED Night Vision

LED Night Vision

This camera has 8 infrared LED night vision lights that produce a clear, quality picture and give you the flexibility to back up your RV in low-light conditions at dusk or in complete darkness at night.

Camera with Built-in Microphone and Monitor with Speaker

Cam-Mic-Monitor Speaker

The built-in microphone on your camera is the perfect tool for backing up your RV. The microphone allows a friend or family member to relay information and instruction to you through your monitors speaker, providing peace of mind as you work together to safely maneuver your RV.

Rear Assist Marker Lines

No more wondering if you're getting too close to that other vehicle. The rear assist marker lines take the guesswork out when backing up. This helpful tool displays reference points of objects within your view to avoid collisions and safely maneuver your RV.

Motion Detection

Motion Detection

The motion detect feature allows you to set the motion sensitivity level of your camera to low, medium, or high. On the low setting, your camera will not detect a pesky raccoon until it's very close or already in your garbage, whereas on high setting, it will detect the raccoon approaching from further away. Your monitor will automatically illuminate to alert you once motion is detected.

Auto-Off

Auto-Off

The auto-off setting is a great power saving option. Working in conjunction with the motion detect setting, this feature allows you to limit the amount of time your monitor stays on. Once motion is detected, you can program your monitor to power off after 10, 20, or 30 seconds of inactivity. The LCD auto off option will only power down the illuminated screen while keeping the monitor on.

I love this camera! It is so much better than I originally thought it would be. I use it for my rearview mirror when traveling, I can see who is behind my Camper and I don't have to use the add on mirrors on my tow vehicle anymore because I can see now with the backup camera in the rear blind spot and the rest with my tow vehicles mirrors. I also can now back my travel trailer into the campsites without my wifes help and do that with only one try. It has been such a nice experience using this camera system.

Comments
I still love it! It is still awesome, I would not want to go camping without it. It has made my camping experience so much more pleasurable. If you don’t have one of these I highly recommend you get one .

The camera was easy to install. I just removed the preinstalled camera mount cover that came with the trailer. The window suction in the truck works great. I love how I can now see behind me when travelling. Also seeing what's behind me when backing up. I would recommend this camera. It is a wonderful asset.

My 2019 Keystone cougar was pre-wired for his camera. It made installing it very simple. I’ve used it for a year now and for the most part it has worked to my expectations. The only problem I am having is it cuts in and out briefly as I’m driving down the road. This does not cause any real problems and I’m not sure what is causing it. It’s either that distance is too far or had a loose connection I haven’t tracked it down yet. But I would recommend buying the system.

Comments
Thank you for your review. It does sound like the connection may be loose. I recommend to remove the camera from the shark fin mount and make sure the wire connections are fully seated with one another.
-- Etrailer Expert Heather A - 06/02/2021
Camera is still working well. It’s definitely a benefit to be able to keep track of traffic that is close behind me.

by:

We have really enjoyed the backup camera. It would have been nice if the directions had included that we needed to turn on our headlights to run it! But, now that we know it works really well!

Comments
This gets wired to the running lights circuit, which means the camera will only be fully powered when you have the running lights turned on in your vehicle. Make sure you are not relying on the auto lights feature in the truck.

Camera works as advertised. Wired camera into running lights 5th wheel. Took about 45 min to layout, drill, pull wire, caulk, and mount.
I did install 3mm Diameter Snap on Ferrite Core Bead Choke Ring Cord RFI EMI Noise Suppressor Filter for USB / Audio / Video Cable Power Cord on both camera and receiver.
Receiver took about 20 min to install. I routed wires nicely, add choke rings.
I have 4 bars running 60 mph. Great purchase and very pleased.

Comments
Camera and receivers still working great. Only issue is antenna broke on camera. Purchased aftermarket router antenna 18”. Still have 4 bars.

by:

The camera is useful and has served it's purpose very well. We're very glad to have it. It's great for my wife to be able to stand behind our 35' trailer and talk to me as I back it in. The only con is that the screen is difficult to see when driving if the sun is really bright. Overall, I consider it money well spent and would definitely buy again. Highly recommend!

by:

Very easy to install, works well with my truck and trailer.

by:

If you own a 22 1/2' trailer and a SUV for towing you will find the range of the signal at its max with communication between camera and receiver. Meaning many times the signal is lost or there is a delay in the image. A vehicle will already be at your driver's side door when it shows up at your bumper on the screen. The view is VERY bubbled. Other than that LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Very helpful when it comes to backing up and hearing the individual assisting with instructions. No yelling needed and no disturbing your neighbors when parking.

Comments
I recommend adding part # WVOSAPANTEXT
Antenna Extension for Voyager Digital Wireless System - Compatible with WVCMS130AP and WVCMS10B
$39.21
to help boost the signal of the camera.

I received the camera system today. Because my trailer was pre-wired for the camera, installation was easy. The camera and monitor are operational but I have not had a chance to try them on the road yet. Hope to do so in 10 days. Will upgrade my review if the system performs as intended. FWIW the service from etrailer has been great.

We purchased the Furrion FOS43TASF to use as an observation camera while towing our new 2018 26' Jayco Jay Flight travel trailer. Our Jayco came equipped with a pre-wired mount for the Furrion camera. The pre-wired black female cord for the camera was present but someone at the factory forgot to wire it to power, so when I plugged in the camera, there was no juice... I removed the center clearance light on the back of the trailer, used the supplied power cord and to feed in/splice in from the clearance light. Installation only took about 15 minutes. We already made our first trip this season and the camera worked wonderful. Great picture, no delays, very happy being able to see what's in the back and coming along the sides. We didn't use the monitor mount supplied with the Furrion, instead we used a vent phone mount I had for my phone that worked perfectly. This is our second and the best observation camera for towing a trailer we've experienced. The first one was another brand on different travel trailer we just sold. Our experience with that camera was poor picture quality, delays and blackouts. We definitely would recommend the Furrion FOS43TASF.

by:

We received our Furrion Observation Camera, FOS43TASF, quickly as advertised. Our camera arrived with no damage. Installation was fast and easy on our 2018, Grand Design, Imagine, 2600RB, plug and play with the existing mount. It took maybe 20 - 30 minutes at the most to install, pair and make minor adjustments. The camera and viewer paired immediately when power was turned on. The camera turned on when the trailer parking lights were turned on. Positioned the camera so the spare tire could be seen on the observation screen to give a point of reference to the back of the camper. Received a strong signal on the pairing. We haven't driven the camper on the road yet to give a review on the workings of the the unit but, don't expect any problems. Should be a good safety feature to know what is behind us when towing. Very happy with our purchase and would recommend this product. This product from etrailer was the least expensive price I could find while researching price points. Thank you etrailer.

by:

This rear observation system was exactly what I needed to give me some eyes in the back of my towable trailer. The system communicates with a 4 bars of strength using a wireless signal between the camera, located at the back of my 24 foot long (2401RG Minnie Winnebago) trailer, and the monitor mounted in the cab of my Ford F150 XLT.
The installation was easy and only took about an hour at most.
I located the two wires feeding the center clearance light near the top of the trailer and through a new drilled hole just below the light I was able to feed in/splice in, the camera wires to get the power the camera needed. (Tip. Before this I used a pair of 6V batteries in series to get temporary power to the camera to ensure good signal back to the monitor in the truck and that a good rear view was possible from the intended mounting spot). Now I can see from the trailer's back bumper to about 35 feet behind on the road.
As usual the Etrailer team was helpful and the order arrived quickly and correctly.
Great Job Julie H. for the last minute assist to correct my order.

Excellent item that makes towing a trailer much safer

by:

This is my second purchase of this item. There was no support from Furrion tech on troubleshooting why the camera was not paring with the monitor. There is no serviceable parts on the equipment. Both camera and monitor had active electric connections but does not work. Not a fan of Furrion !

by:

Super easy install if your unit is already equipped with the mounting bracket from the factory. The only thing I was not impressed with was the monitor mount. Quite restrictive if your dash is a grained texture you are pretty much restricted to mounting on the windshield which I found a bit annoying. I happened to have a CD slot mount, and we never use the CD player so I tried it. Couldn’t have found a better location!!

by:

NOT IMPRESSED. It goes off constantly and says no signal. definitely no help when backing up. I've called customer service several times. always get put on hold. I never have gotten to speak to someone for help.

Comments
I am sorry to hear that your back up camera has not been working for you. I have sent your information over to our customer service department for them to get in touch with you. They should be able to assist you in getting this error corrected.

I needed a way to see my Indian motorcycle on a trailer behind my 40’ fifth wheel. I had Fords system when I bought my new truck, but there was much more wiring than I wanted to tackle and I was hoping for a non wired system. I bought this with my fingers crossed. Very easy installation of less than an hour and the results were what I wanted

by:

the camera did not work at first and after 3 different RV dealer visit where they could not or would not fix the problem, I rewired the power supply to the camera. It has worked great since then

by:

I bought one for my trailer and installed it. I like it so much that I bought one for my friend. Both trailers were pre-wired for the install, which mad it super easy.

by:

Delivered on time for our camping trip. Easy to install. Great picture.

by:

I purchased this item to make it easier when backing my travel trailer into a spot. It was very easy to install since my trailer was pre wired for a backup camera. While I have yet to use it, since it is no longer camping season in my area, I have tested it out. It has a very clear and sharp picture. I am excited to try it out for real next season.

by:

Just installed this camera and haven't been on a trip yet. But the install and adjustment went very smoothly. I am very impressed that this camera also has Night Vision, on the occasion I might arrive late to my campsite or home. Next trip on 11/19/21 for Thanksgiving with my late husband's family. Excited and blessed!

by:

This is somewhat pricey but is an excellent camera and has worked well.

Comments
I use it for every camping trip and it is very helpful and working well

by:

I like it a lot I double a travel trailer and a atv trailer it helps me keep a eye on the trailer behind the camper and is great for changing lanes. The only thing I would do different is get the bigger monitor.
Thanks

by:

The screen is a little small.

What I think you are stating is that with the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera, # FOS43TASF, everything is working as is should when the monitor is connected to the tow vehicle for power source. • Installing a Furrion RV Camera on a 2021 Forest River
The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Camera # FOS43TASF does usually require hardwiring to get everything installed and working properly. This is due to it being able to be used as a back up camera or a constant observation camera, which would be on at all times. That being said, you may want to contact the manufacturer of the trailer to see if it was pre-wired for a Furrion camera set up. You may still be, but are looking at the incorrect port.
