Finally, you no longer have to choose between carrying your bikes or your gear. This versatile rack combines a platform-style bike carrier with a cargo basket, giving you the ability to simultaneously transport 2 bikes and 100 lbs of gear with your 2" hitch. This means no more leaving that extra camping gear behind because you want to take your bikes along, and no more switching out your bike rack and cargo carrier for separate use.
Platform-Style Bike Rack
The Sport Rider SE2 consists of a two-bike base unit and a cargo basket extension unit, allowing you to use the carrier as either a two-bike rack with the cargo basket, or as a stand-alone cargo basket. An anti-rattle system tightens the rack's shank to your hitch receiver to prevent it from rattling around inside the tube.
Locking, Ratcheting Hooks
The Sport Rider SE2 uses locking frame hooks to secure your bikes. The ratcheting, cushioned hooks easily adjust along the vertical mast and lock securely in place. The release buttons allow each hook to slide up the ratcheting arm for bike removal. The hooks function independently, which means you can position them to carry bikes of different heights.
Adjustable Wheel Hoops
The wheel hoops will hold tires up to 3" wide. These hoops accommodate bicycles with wheelbases up to 60" by sliding along the horizontal arms. They are secured in place with easy-to-use hand knobs, and the Velcro-like hook-and-loop straps fasten the wheels to the hoops.
If you want to carry a fat bike on the Sport Rider SE 2, you can replace the rack's wheel hoops with specifically-designed fat bike hoops (sold separately).
Heavy-Duty Cargo Basket
The cargo basket measures 52-1/2" long x 15-9/16" wide x 6" deep, giving you plenty of space to haul camping gear or supplies. The raised side rails offer multiple tie-down points, and the included cargo net stretches over your gear to secure it in place.
The carrier can also function as a stand-alone cargo basket. Simply remove the two-bike unit and replace it with the cargo carrier. Or, remove the bike rack completely and insert the basket into your vehicle's 2" hitch, using the included adapter. In either of these configurations, the cargo basket can carry up to 220 lbs of gear.
Folding, Tilting Design
The rack tilts, with or without bikes loaded, for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Simply remove the pivot pin, pull the bottom quick-release spring pin, and lower the rack.
The rack also folds up against the back of your vehicle when it's not in use. To raise the rack, just pull the upper quick-release spring pin and lift.
Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle System
The rack installs in your hitch without the need for tools. Simply slide the shank into your receiver until the welded stop plate contacts the hitch. The stop plate saves you from getting on your hands and knees to align the pin holes while inserting the hitch pin. Once the pin is in place, attach the lock pod. Lastly, use the integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the shank to tighten the rack inside your hitch receiver and prevent it from rattling.
Complete Security for Bikes and Rack
The Sport Rider comes with locks for both the rack and your bikes to deter theft. The lock cores in the frame hooks hold the bike down on the rack and prevent them from moving. Also, the lock pod attaches to the hitch pin to secure the rack to your vehicle. These locks are conveniently keyed alike. For extra protection, the 8' long security cable wraps through the bike frames, connects to the hitch pin, and is secured to the pin by the hitch lock.
Add-On Adapters
If you want to use the rack to transport a kid's bike with 16" or 18" wheels, wheel hoop adapters (sold separately) are available.
If you want to transport 1 recumbent delta trike or 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike with the Sport Rider 2 SE, you can use the HRTRK-ADP adapter (sold separately). Or if you want to transport 1 standard bike and either 1 recumbent delta trike, 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike, or 1 adult trike, then you can use the HRTRK-ADP-2 adapter (sold separately).
Note: The trike adapters can only be used with the Sport Rider SE's two-bike base unit.

Anti-rattle system reduces wobble and sway while driving. Includes hitch lock.Pretty easy to assemble. Bought this for back of Class B+ rv which has little outside storage. After figuring out how to best place our e-bikes and making wheel tube adjustments, all fell into place. Bikes are secure with very little if no movement or rattle in back. Same true when cargo rack is added. Although, I think this will serve our purposes for carrying our e-bikes as well as offer a bit extra outside storage for our portable grill, rug, and other grimey items, a few extra inches in width and length for the cargo carrier would go a long way — especially with the recess area at the tongue. All in all, we are happy. If a slightly larger cargo carrier was available, we would be even happier. This is literally the ONLY bike rack/cargo rack combo available on the market and something smaller rv people are all looking for.
Theresa - 12/21/2020I've been looking for the last two years for a way to transport our 2 mountain bikes and camping gear behind our Chevy Express 2500 campervan conversion. This bike rack-cargo carrier combo looks lithe but is sturdy. I like that it has a 7" rise so we don't have to worry about the load bottoming out at inclines. I first cleared compatibility with etrailer CS before hitching this baby into a Kuat Pivot 2 swing out hitch adapter. With this setup, I can take our bikes/camp gear/inflatable kayaks in various combinations and still be able to sleep with the barn doors open at the campsite!
It is definitely the best bike rack I've had to date, it has surpassed my expectations. I say that because I know some folks with platform racks that look great and are lighter, but are also much more expensive, but what sold me on this particular model is the fact that it is the only one (that I found) that comes with a cargo tray option. It took a little effort to assemble, but once it was ready to be hooked to my hitch, all I had to do was adjust the wheel holders to match the length of my bicycles thereafter, it was a breeze to load and unload them. On my latest camping trip, the additional room the cargo tray provided, eliminated the need to load all the camping gear inside my vehicle, I couldn't believe I was able to fit all that stuff on the cargo tray! A word of caution; At the time I got this rack and tray combo, my SUV was on the shop I could not wait to put it to use, so I hooked it to my tiny car, loaded with 2 bikes, the tray plus cargo and it got really heavy, and though it worked as intended, my little car was really low to the ground... For that reason I would definitely caution against using it fully loaded (as I did) on a subcompact car! :-) however, the bike rack alone works great on the tiny car! needless to say if I need to use the cargo tray with it, I definitely stick to my SUV! Overall and for the price, it really is an excellent product and I would highly recommend it!
Tomas G - 08/07/2020Great product and great service! We took our new rack system on a 3,000 mile camping trip, and it lived up to all our expectations. I would advise that it is best to have two people for mounting and removal from the vehicle hitch, in which case you can leave cargo secured in the basket.

Great bike rack and carrier. Easy to set up. videos online aided in the process. Adding a swing away arm made it perfect for the back of my rv van. I also liked all the included locks
Bike rack is great on my 2019 Toyota 4Runner. Cargo carrier was delivered damaged either in shipping or manufacturing. It took some real effort (and scraping) to get it assembled due to the damage. Had to use a ratchet strap to get everything in place and tightened down. Beyond that, the cargo carrier is not super practical. It won’t hold a normal size cooler due to the bend in the middle. I get that they are trying to leave room for the bike pedals, but the images were very misleading. The cooler in the photo must be the oddest shape made, because a regular sized cooler won’t fit. Of course, I should have measured ahead of time, but it’s a shame because they could have easily straightened this out with a design like ROLA’s and solved the problem. I would have liked to see a disclaimer that said it doesn’t fit a regular size cooler, or else have the picture removed that shows a cooler on the back. Now I’m left with a useless cargo carrier for my purposes. Maybe the ROLA will fit on the back of the bike carrier and I can return this one. Need to investigate.

My buddy who is riding with me calls and says "Are we going to be able to get everything there, or should we talk about what to leave at home?" What?? Who does he think he is talking to??!! This is Kevin... from etrailer.com... We don't leave gear behind. We. Don't. Leave. Gear. Behind. Like a true Hollywood action hero, the sport rider with the cargo basket attachment rose to the challenge. It was great for carrying our bikes and we were able to throw our big bag of gear and cooler in the basket. Basically all the stuff that can get dusty or wet went outside. Then we were able to let the food, clothes, and spouses ride inside my 4Runner. Everyone wins! But then the plot thickens. We get there, get ready to open up the cooler and light up a nice fire in the fire pit. And then we realize there is no wood, bummer. There was a backup pile of firewood about a quarter mile away, too far for me to lug any reasonable amount of wood. But not too far for the Hollywood. We loaded it up, lit the fire, cracked the cooler open. Roll credits....
The word " Awesome" could sum up this product up. I looked all over for a bike/ basket combo, and could not find anything as nice as this one. You can use just the bike rack or just the basket or both, as seen. Very sturdy, doesn't rattle, you don't even know it is on the back of your car.
Great way to carry a couple of bikes and additional cargo at the same time! We are on our 2nd trip and we are very happy with the product!
4 stars, but should have been 5 stars. The item was shipped to me with the "no wobble" lever than runs through the main beam of the hitch basket turned 90 degrees so I was unable to push the pin through the welded loop on the end of the "no wobble" lever until I disassembled the "no wobble" lever. Dis-assemblying it was easy enough, but getting aligned in the main beam took a significant amount of time. Bottom line: What should have taken less than an hour to assemble and install (IMO) took almost 3.5 hours. Now that it is assembled and installed I think it is a pretty awesome product.

Excellent rack. I've had this for over one year. I went through two other bike racks before finding this one. I really like the versatility - able to use the either the bike rack or basket or both together. High quality construction. The hitch mount with the bike rack is solid with very little play when driving. Using the basket with the bike rack wasn't as solid. The basket moved around a bit. The basket fits two of the standard size Rubbermaid Roughneck bins. It took me a while to find some bins that would fit, so I hope that helps others. Both the bike rack and basket are kind of heavy and awkward once assembled and they take up a lot of space for storage. Not a problem with the rack itself, but something to be aware of in case you are expecting a unit that can be easily moved around. I'm still trying to figure out where to put them in the garage. I might try to hang them on the wall. I would have given this 5 stars, were is not for the unstable basket and the Velcro straps on the bike rack are already wearing out and fraying after only 4 uses. They really need to include some higher quality straps. Otherwise, this is the best rack I've owned. I find myself using the basket more than I thought I would and I won't be looking for another bike rack for quite a while.
Great product! A little more expensive than other racks we looked at but well worth the extra money. Excellent quality, very sturdy, & simple to load/unload & use. We are very happy with it.
This is the best solution to keep your bikes from banging around on the back of your car. The extra storage basket on the back saves space inside the car. I loved that it came with it's own locking pin and cable lock that have the same key. The only improvement that could be made to this product is to integrate the cable lock into the bike rack. Great product and priced right. The bike rack and luggage are built very sturdy so they can be a bit cumbersome to carry and get onto your car, but once it's on and the system is tightened down with the screw you can be assured that it's solid enough to carry the bulkiest/heaviest of bikes. I would definitely buy this again
This is sturdy well designed bike rack, Cargo carrier combo! We used camping across the United States and it served us well. Our bikes were very secure and the cargo carrier gave us extra room for carrying firewood, coolers etc.
My 3rd purchase from etrailer & I continue to be a satisfied customer. Before purchasing the Hollywood Bike Rack with Cargo Carrier, Jamie A was very expedient in confirming it would be compatible with my prior hitch purchases. It is well built, looks good, & I expect it to last for a long time. East to install. It does require assembly but if you are reasonably handy, it shouldn't take you more than an hour for both racks. etrailer is an excellent company that I continue to recommend to family & friends. I used the bike rack over the weekend & I was very satisfied. Very little sway/movement & the bikes were relatively easy to load. The locking mechanisms on the hitch & bike lock were well designed. Normal UPS delivery was prompt. I will continue to be an etrailer Customer!
I would highly recommend this set up! I drove over 1,100 miles with bikes and plastic crates attached and never worried about losing anything. It is sturdy, you can use either the bike carrier or the cargo carrier by themselves. Very easy to attach, it comes with all the locking gear you will need and want. The only downside is that the cargo carrier isn't the same width all the way through, I assume that is for when you use them together. Great for camping as you carry your gear effortlessly. My only suggestion is to go to your local hardware store and purchase some reflective tape so others see you at night.
Assembly (solo) was easy. Purchased this heavier duty model because I have two electric bikes as well as a mountain bike. Liked the idea of the attachable basket. Have not tried out on long haul but so far so good. Very secure and sturdy.
So far so great, love the ability to split the bike from the cargo carrier components, OR use both together. Powder coating seems to be high quality, like the ease of use for the anti-rattle/wobble feature. Easy to switch from the RV to the Truck, to the SUV, very happy so far.
Some assembly required but everything fit great! It is exactly what we wanted to fit our needs!
We received out bike and cargo carrier. It is amazing and the customer service is amazing. What a great product and a great business to do business with.
used the rack this week end it worked very well carried 2 bikes and an inflatable boat with a 3.5 horse outboard road very nice no wobble on back of a roadtrek 190 moved the spare tire under the couch/bed worked great.
