These are better than original. Installation for a triple axle trailer only took an hour not including running brake lines.

Perfect fit on my 2004 MasterCraft tandem axle trailer. Drop in replacement for the "Reliable" calipers that were on there.

The brakes on my boat trailer looked like they never worked since new. The pistons were bonded in place with rust. These are the exact same brakes so they went on with no problems. Learned I needed to inspect trailer brakes a lot more often. One star off because one of the bleed screws would leak no matter how tight I set it. I had an old screw so I just used it.

This is actually the second time I purchased one of these calipers. The first time was about a month back when one froze on me due to water in the brake system. Of course this happened the day before I was going on vacation.
While very happy with the quality of the caliper it was the customer service that was most impressive. I called in a panic in the early afternoon to see if I could get the part overnight. The sales consultant went way beyond what he could have done and hand delivered my order to shipping department so it would get out yet that day.
My point here is that you can buy good parts anywhere on the web these days but the reason I came back and will keep coming back was the service I got (get) from eTrailer's employees. That extra effort allowed me to leave on time for vacation with my family.
Oh and yeah Kodiak makes good stuff. Everything installed well and is working great. Thank you!

Boat trailer caliper was seized and causing the brakes to overheat. Headed over to etrailer.com since they seem to have the best part selection and easiest website to navigate.
I purchased a caliper that came with pads pre-installed (https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Kodiak/KDBC225DAC.html) and a rotor (https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Kodiak/KR12D.html).

I ordered new Kodiak 225 caliper to replace the frozen one on my boat trailer, which I use in Puget sound area. The part came as advertised, quick delivery no hassel no problems. I upgraded to a more salt resistant caliper. Use stainless if you can afford it

I ordered Dakota 225 brake caliper. It worked as it should. The problem is that I had bought two calipers and two rotors 3 years ago from E trailer and installed them. They worked but on seized up (would not release from the rotor) and overheated. I had to place the overide pin in my surge actuator and drive tow the boat and trailer .
I would think the caliper would last more than three years with less than 25 trips to the lake.

I bought these for my '05 Mastercraft (Reliable) trailer. They were a direct replacement for the originals. They came loaded with new pads and will fit either side. All the fittings were already installed and new mounting bolts were included which made installing them quick and easy. Great product at a great price.

The caliper arrived later in the day but I managed to install it and get a guy to help me bleed the lines before he went home.
Kodiak brakes are the best. I have noticed pad separation in the last pair of pads I had to replace; but I believe that is from the heat from the stuck caliper.
