Hello everybody. This is Jeff etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Kodiak Dacromet disc brake caliper for 2000 pound to 3500 pound axles.Now this caliper is a cast iron construction, prevents any flexing, keeps the braking torque consistent. It is a self-adjusting design so it ensures nice smooth even braking, and it does have a low drag ability which retracts the piston further than traditional models, and of course less friction leads to a cooler running brake.I just wanted to show you the piston right in here. I hold the pad up, you can see right down in there is the 2 1/4 inch diameter stainless steel piston. It's about 30% larger than most disc brake systems, and gives you increased braking torque and shorter stopping distances.And the brake pads, you can see they are a ceramic brake pad provides superior performance for more consistent braking, and they'll withstand high temperatures for maximum wear.

If you notice the caliper has a nice dacromet plating to it. It provides corrosion resistant for freshwater and limited saltwater use. It does have a 300 to 400 hour salt spray rating.Now this caliper will include everything shown here and includes the dual port bleed screws. I mentioned the stainless steel piston, the ceramic brake pads, and also the two stainless steel guide bolts with the thread locker on each end for installation of your caliper.A few specs on this. This fits the axle ratings of 2000 pounds to 3500 pounds.

Now this caliper is a part of the disc brake kits. Two of these are included in the disc brake kit, part number RCMHS-8-2. And two of these are in the part number RCMHS-8-3 disc brake kits.
