Loctite Lubricants Sealants Adhesives - LT37464

  • Sealant
  • Gasket Maker
  • 2.7 oz
  • Loctite

This gray silicone gasket maker forms a high-quality gasket that seals the space between matched parts to prevent leakage of automotive fluids and gases, such as air, oil, antifreeze and transmission fluid.

  • Seals joined parts in automotive systems - prevents leakage of antifreeze, air, oil and transmission fluid
  • Designed for high-torque applications
  • Exceeds manufacturers' warranty requirements
  • Won't corrode
  • Resists vibration
  • Made in the USA

  • Quantity: 2.7-fl oz tube (80 mL)
  • Tack-free cure (time required to dry past tacky state): 30 minutes
  • Full cure (time required to reach full set): 24 hours
  • Temperature range (endurance limits of the gasket maker): -75 F to 625 F
  • Ideal gap-filling capacity (gap sizes in which gasket maker performs best): 0.001" to 0.125"
  • Maximum gap-filling capacity (maximum gap size between joined parts): 0.240"

Applications: Valve covers, oil pans, intake manifold end seals, timing covers, water pumps and thermostat housings

Applied as a gel to just one surface of the parts to be joined, silicone gasket maker forms a seal between them, keeping out contaminants. Silicone gasket maker resists oil and shop fluids, vibration, heat, and flexing of parts, replacing many conventional gaskets. Parts joined by this silicone gasket maker can easily be removed. The old gasket material comes off effortlessly, simplifying future disassembly and reassembly.

Because of their ability to flex and compress, silicone gasket makers work better than other kinds of gasket makers when the parts to be joined are made of different materials, which have different rates of expansion and contraction when temperatures change. They also work better than other types of gasket makers on stamped metal parts that can flex and in situations where clearances can be large.

This gray silicone gasket maker forms a high-quality gasket that seals the space between matched parts to prevent leakage of automotive fluids and gases, such as air, oil, antifreeze and transmission fluid.

I used this to seal my hitch install. Ok so I over did it, but the seal Is excellent. One tube is plenty for the 2 holes drilled in the spare tire well. If fact you could do several. It just shy of a tube of toothpaste size to give some perspective.

Thank you for fixing it promptly, I appreciate It. I have received the replacement.

Great adhesive quality upon applying , not to fast drying so u can move items around to line up holes like I was for trailer vents on side in race trailer . Haven’t used the trailer yet since thr rainy season to see if weather affects the bond but can tell u the grip is fantastic as we scrapped one of the vents accidentally against a building roof overhang and it creased the metal vent but did not displace, pull or unseal the vent! I would use this to mount anything to thr exterior of my trailer without worry!

Only bad thing I have to say about it is don't know if it was shipping or a factory defect but followed directions on package and cut nozzle to desired size and started squeezing it on my transaxle and the locktite started coming out of the side of the tube. So I'm out of half the tube.

I received my product very quickly and in excellent condition! Every time I have ordered from E-Trailer, I have been extremely satisfied!

I used the product right away after I bought it... havent used it lately. It worked excellent for me. .

I used this product to repair a leaking auger gearbox on my snowblower. It was critical that when repairs were completed the two part gear case be sealed completely. The directions were simple/straightforward and the product was easily applied. I used the snowblower all winter and the gearbox seal was perfect.

Worked and fit just like described, good deal.

We use this product for creating gaskets where needed, and until now had no reasonably-priced supplier. We really appreciate your pricing and service. We had our last order of six units in three days!

The product was shipped as promised. Product worked fine and was of satisfactory quality

No problem !

  • Troubleshooting 5-Year-Old Electric Jack That Works Sporadically
Your 5-year-old electric trailer jack working sporadically could indeed be caused by loose or corroded internal wiring inside the housing. The presence of rust on the screws certainly suggests the possibility that corrosion could be at the heart of the problem. You could also have a loose ground connection. Some A-frame jacks use their mounting plate to make the ground at the trailer's steel frame. Sometimes that mounting area can get rusty and create intermittent operation. The force...

I searched the Loctite industrial site and the Locktite 5699 Grey Prod. # LT37464, is the same as the 18718 that you referenced. The product comes in different sizes containers and different container amounts to a case and the 18718 is just a variant of that.

  • Recommended Sealant for Various Repairs on a 2018 Open Range Travel Trailer
I recommend using the TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160297 for your wide variety of jobs. This silicone sealant is white in color and adheres to rubber-like roofing materials, aluminum, galvanized metal, plastic, vinyl, fiberglass, wood, mortar, and concrete. It will adapt to temperature changes and parts that can shift or flex. You will need a cartridge applicator, like a caulking gun, and please note that this cannot be painted over. • Is Drilling Needed to Install a Powered Trailer Wiring Harness in 2015 Chevrolet Malibu
Routing the 12V power wire for a powered trailer wiring harness like the Tow Ready T-One # 118602 may require some drilling. Often there will be existing holes and/or wiring grommets that can be used but in some instances drilling a new hole will make the installation process easier. You just want to be very careful to check the area where you intend to drill to ensure there are no critical components behind it, such as other wiring, a brake line or a fuel line. If you do end up drilling...

  • Available Products for Sealing RV Sink Drain
If the sink in your 1996 Jayco pop-up camper trailer is leaking where the drain and sink bottom join together then you can use plumber's putty to re-seal it unless something is actually broken. This material is typically grey in color and can be found at any local hardware store. It remains soft and flexible (it does not dry or cure to a solid condition like a glue or caulk) so it keeps a good seal. If you also need to seal the sink's outer mounting flange to the countertop you can usually...

The EGT probe included with the Edge Juice with Attitude # EP31507 installs in a different location than any factory sensors so I do recommend installing it on your 2016 Ram 3500. Routing wiring through the firewall can be a challenge but if you can run it through that grommet you mentioned then that is the best option. Once the wiring is ran it is recommend to seal it up using silicone such as # LT37464.

Yes, it sounds like you need to install some anchors for your Lend-a-Hand # AM-200 or simply remove all of the hardware and move the mounting location up or down a few inches to avoid using the same holes. If you do move the Lend-a-Hand then you want to make sure that you are installing the screws into a stud and that you patch up the previous mounting holes with sealant like part # LT37464. It might be easier to move the hand rail location but since both options are fairly easy it really...

If there isn't an easily accessible point of entry into the engine compartment through the firewall on your 2010 Lincoln MKT then you will need to drill a small hole to run the wiring harness power wire. There are a couple of things to be aware of. First, be careful that the other side of the firewall is clear.
