Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
P2-Rated Lights
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

I replaced lights on my boat trailerwith these lights,the others were bad.these led's installed without a hitch and are much brighter than the old one's.haven't had boat in the water yet but so far so good.

I will send pics as soon as we get the airboat off the trailer, paint trailer new bunks and install new lights and wiring. I have the lights on our bass boat trailer, we replaced them 6 years ago and the quality is the best I could find.

These Stud Mount LED Clearance lights are what I need for my boat trailer and etrailer.com had them in stock. Mind you they are priced in the "Average " range, but what good is cheaper if they do not have them in stock? I ordered them and they showed up. This I can work with. The service is good............I would give an "Excellent but these lights have a tendency to fail after about two to three seasons no matter how fastidious your installation.

Ordered a spare red marker light to have on hand. Just replaced an amber side light, and planned ahead...... May as well have one of each on hand for...... just in case when the time comes!
These lights are simple to install, and the wire lead is nice and long to make connecting to your trailer harness a breeze.
I will certainly do business with etrailer again in the future!

Excellent replacement for a damaged light on my trailer. Now LED lights are an upgrade from original. Probably not feasible given a variety of applications, but a plug in tip would avoid the need for splicing the wire. Overall, a good product and easy replacement installation.

Nice product. long wiring pigtail of what looks like 18G wire. 3 LED's that are nice and bright and much better than the Wesbar incandescent light it replaced. Enclosure seems to be well sealed but I would have liked it better if the rear face had the wiring enclosed in epoxy. Metric 10mm mounting stud.

This single mount side marker was unavailable at all my local parts houses, truck stops, and big chain stores. I needed red, single bolt, surface mount LEDs for my boat trailer to be in compliance with state laws and was frustrated not to find them locally.

You guys are great! I have a pop up tent trailer made in Canada and I was able to find the exact replacement. - Can a Stainless Steel Stud be Used as the Ground Stud on Optronics LED Clearance LightUsing stainless steel instead of regular steel for the stud on clearance light # MCL95RB would be fine. But what you can do to help the ground is attach a wire with ring terminal between the stud and where it makes contact with the trailer frame and then run the other end of that wire to the main trailer connector ground location. And if that doesn't work then there may be something internally wrong with the light.
