Fits perfectly on my Tesla Model 3 original Tesla-made roof rack. No more fooling around sliding my T-slot kayak holders into position on that rack. Clean look, no wind whistling through making annoying noises, not wasting energy when not in use.

by:

Foam block had the non-skid film damaged and lifted up - had to glue it back down.

These are perfect for my Eddyline kayak. They fit over my Malone Airflow2 crossbars pretty well. It was fairly difficult getting them onto the bars. I ended up using soapy water which helped a lot.

by:

These foam padding are perfect for hauling our kayaks and the best part is they are made to fit our ladder racks exactly.

by:

Fast shipment! Thanks!

This was my first (and NOT last) order from etrailer.com. Someone had literally stolen my foam blocks for my kayak from my FRONT PORCH in broad daylight, and I had made plans to go kayaking with my daughter, and suddenly had no way to get my boat to the lake. I did an Internet search for the foam blocks and found etrailer.com. I ordered the blocks and paid for expedited shipping. The blocks arrived three days EARLIER than expected, in fact, they were overnighted, and were not only in perfect shape, but were nicer than the blocks I originally had....these having a non skid rubber surface where the block contacts the car top. I am VERY happy with the results of my order, and will certainly be ordering again, should the need arise.

by:

Why would anybody buy expensive kayak saddles when this works perfectly? Excellent heavy-duty dense foam with a center channel that conforms perfectly on my oval Rhino Aero rack bars.

They work well, one on a Thule square bar, the other on a flat rack. They conform slightly to the surfaces they touch, but are still firm, which I believe keeps them from moving around.

by:

Works perfectly. Great that the holes to fit the roof bars are now shaped for modern, aerodynamic bars, instead of the old round ones.

by:

What you see is what you get. Works well on my aero crossbars

by:

perfect fit

by:

What I ordered, shipped, and received timely, and works as described, thanks

by:

Worked great for my Toyota Highlander and wilderness system Tsunami 14'. Helped secure Yak with straps and create a more secure fit

by:

This foam block works as it should between kayak and vehicle roof. Not too soft. Doesn't move around.

by:

Working really good so far......

  • Will Malone Foam Block for Kayaks # MPG158 Fit on Factory Crossbars of Honda CR-V
Yes, the Malone Foam Block for Kayaks # MPG158 will fit on the factory crossbars of your Honda CR-V. The opening for the bars is a bit larger than you'd need but it would still fit and work well. For a strap set for the bow and stern you'd then want the part # MPG306 and you'd be set.

  • Carrying 2 Kayaks on Front of 09 Dodge When Towing 5th Wheel
We have a setup for you that will allow you to carry your two kayaks. You will need the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar for 2" Hitches - 49" Long # RTL002. This is able to install in a 2 inch front hitch like the one on your 2009 2500 Dodge Quad cab. You would also need a Darby single bar roof rack # DTA968 and some Foam Blocks(described below). For the crossbar, you're able to adjust a little bit, and the instructions will give you information on how...

  • Recommended Hitch Mounted Rack With Single Bar Roof Rack To Carry Kayak On Pickup Truck
Normally, using a system like the Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender, part # EM07605 is used with the rear hitch on a truck. Since you are planning on using this system on the front of your truck, I highly recommend making sure you have it secured in place with the tie-downs to the rack and also with bow and stern tie-downs. This system is designed to fit a 2 inch receiver opening. You would need a roof rack for your kayak. For additional similar foam blocks you can order part #...

  • Will Malone MPG158 Foam Blocks Fit Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack for Raised # TH7502-TH7503
The Malone Foam Block for Kayaks # MPG158 is designed to work with round, square, oval, aero, and elliptical crossbars. I did go to our warehouse and pull the Malone block to measure. The width of the crossbar cutout in the foam block is 2-3/4" and is 1-1/2" in height from the cutout entrance to the end of the cavity. The Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack for Raised # TH7502-TH7503 for example are 3-1/8" wide x 1-1/8" tall so the foam block would not have adequate width but could be cut...

  • Weight Capacity of the Malone Foam Blocks for Kayaks
Yes the capacity of the Malone Foam Block for Kayaks part # MPG158 is 50 lbs. per block. These will work out really well for your Catayak and I really like the solution you have come up with. They are designed to fit the bars of the Yakima Rock n Roll trailers like part # Y08106. They have a squared top in the slot cutout that allows them to stradle the bars perfectly. We designed the etrailer Cam Buckle Cinch Straps w/ Buckle Protectors part # E98876-4 for this exact reason. They will...

The Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier w/ Hitch Mounted Load Extender and Single-Bar Roof Rack # DTA944-968-924 has a shipping weight of 34 lbs. You can then add the Darby Foam Kayak Block for Extend-a-Rack # MPG158 which will add a 1/2 lb for your second kayak. This will work well with the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs # D210 or something similar to allow you to also tow your trailer.

  • Upright Hitch Mounted Kayak Carrier for 2016 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab
The price of the Darby Extend a Truck Kayak Carrier part # DTA944-968-924 is basically impossible to beat. For what you are getting for the price it's a tough option not to go with. However, it does use a universal crossbar that wouldn't be quite as secure as a custom roof rack. The crossbar wouldn't go anywhere once installed. But the connection would not be nearly as solid. For similar additional foam blocks to carry more kayaks you would want the part # MPG158 as well. For lighter...

The Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier w/ Hitch Mounted Load Extender # DTA944-968-924 that you referenced would fit and work on a 2006 Ford Ranger like what you have. This carrier comes with one foam block but an similar additional block, # MPG158 can be purchased. Tie-down straps are not included with the # DTA944-968-924. You can purchase tie-down cinch straps like part # TH521 to secure the kayak.

The Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier # DTA944-968-924 referenced in your question will work great on your 2014 Toyota Tacoma as long as it has a naked roof. The single crossbar roof rack portion of this system is a universal-fit application that will mount to any naked roof with non-scratch foam feet and a strap that will run through the truck cab to secure everything into place. The load extender will then slide into the 2 inch trailer hitch on your Tacoma and adjust vertically for use...

The Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier # DTA944-968-924 that you referenced has a 350 lb capacity and bars that are 48 inches wide. You could pretty easily use it to carry two kayaks but you would also need two of the part # MPG158 for additional pads for the additional kayak. For straps you may also be interested in the part # TH521.

  • Recommended 2-Kayak Carrier Solution for 2015 GMC Sierra Double Cab with Folding Tonneau Cover
Folding tonneau covers can sometimes be tough to fit along with a ladder rack since often both will use the same or similar attachment points on the tops or sides of the bed rails. But I do have a great solution for you for transporting two 14-foot kayaks with a total weight of 150-lbs that will actually cost you a lot less than many quality ladder racks AND avoid any concerns about compatibility with your tonneau cover. The solution I recommend is a hitch-mount load support bar. Darby...

The Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar # RTL002 that you referenced is designed to be used with an existing roof rack crossbar system or bare roof carrier, which aren't included with the kit. If you want to go with a more permanent setup to use with the T-Load the best route is with a crossbar system. • Can 2 Kayaks Be Carried on a Chevrolet Colorado Using the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier
There are 2 things that you will need to check before knowing for certain whether the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier # DTA944-968-924 will allow you to carry 2 kayaks with your Colorado or not. First of all the roof rack part has a weight capacity that is equal to that of your roof. You will want to check your owner's manual to verify what that is.
