stabilizer mounted on an RV hitch

We've all had the experience of getting up in the morning to make a cup of coffee and waking our travel partner up by shaking the whole vehicle. Well, all of that is history thanks to the MORryde hitch-mounted stabilizer.

This stabilizer will help you keep your RV or camper more level when it's parked without any complicated setup. Just slide the unit into your 2" hitch receiver and adjust the legs to provide just enough tension to hold the rear of your vehicle steady. Once you're ready to move to your next destination, you can easily remove the stabilizer and fold it up for compact storage.

Sturdy Design for Maximum Stability

close up view of the stabilizer footpad

The footpads on this stabilizer are designed to provide superior stabilization. The angle of the integrated eyelets ensures that the footpads remain flat on the ground, even as you tighten the ratcheting strap to pull the legs inward. This puts upward tension on your hitch, and with the flush footing, creates superior stability for your trailer.

Easy Setup and Take Down

Once you assemble this stabilizer, you won't need any tools to use it. Just slide it into your hitch at the campsite, fold down the legs, and adjust each leg to get the length you need before securing them with the retaining clips. Hook the strap into each footpad and ratchet the strap to tug the stabilizing legs tight. This will tension the stabilizer, which will lift up at the hitch just enough to brace and steady the rear of your RV.

stabilizer folded for compact storage

When your trip is over, all you have to do is release the strap, unpin the legs, and fold the stabilizer up before removing it from your hitch. Its compact size makes it easy to store in your RV until you arrive at your next destination.

Product was damaged on arrival. Pivot tube assembly ear was bent! Shipping box was not in good shape. Too bad I was really looking forward to having this as I know it works my buddies have it.

Oh my goodness! Customer Service will be in touch with you.

This device is incredibly, stabilized my travel trailer beyond my expectations. It's easy to install and easy to store. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a solid foundation for their camper. It's well worth the money.

Highly recommend. Does reduce 5th wheel movement

Very pleased, noticeably less movement in 5th wheel.

This product made a huge difference, and how much movement I got inside my trailer in the rear bathroom and bedroom! Did exactly what I was hoping it would. Excellent product and excellent service!

Purchased stabilzer for my Riverstone Legacy 391FSK which is almost 43' long. My 6 point leveling system works great, however there is a long distance from the back legs to the rear of the trailer. It's a rear bedroom model which includes a washer and dryer that can shake the whole trailer. Since installing the stabilizer, shake and vibration have been eliminated. Very happy with the purchase, highly recommended!

It has helped my retro camper so much. So easy to set up.

NOT a very positive review as the box was damaged in shipping and the hardware bag with the bolts and pins must have fallen out someplace between MO and WA, I called and talked to somebody and got a replacement shipped out right away, However I got parts I didnt need and am still missing the snapper pins, I guess this is an Item I should have just bought locally

Works great, helped take some of the movement out of the trailer

Works great

I have to give this product only 3 stars. 1: The instructions are for an older model. This model is "improved" but the instructions aren't. 2: The holes in the arms did not line up. I used a drill to "align" the holes so the pin can be easily placed. I've used Moryde products before and this one appears to be a little "cheap" and not well engineered. I did get it placed on my RV and hopefully, it will have an impact on the stability of the unit.

Our fifth wheel only has four points of stabilization and adding this stabilizer had made a huge difference in the stability while camping. A great purchase of a quality item!!!

After a year of using the MORyde Hitch Stabilizer, we are still very pleased at how simple it is to use and how much "rear end wiggle" it takes away. We keep it mounted on the hitch folded upward and it doesn't move during travel. And I can attest to its structural strength via one time that I forgot to release the strap and fold it up while raising the front of our 5th wheel for hitching. Oops! The strap snapped, with a memorable bang, but the stabilizer bars were not bent or damaged in any way!

I recieved both boxes in good condition and will put the hand rail on when I get time.

Very easy to put together and install. This stabilizer did the trick, now my long overhang in the rear does not move. Simplicity in most cases is the best.

It works great! We have 2, tall teenagers and it really makes a difference in the back of our 5th wheel!

Works really well. Cuts down on, “bounce” in rear living area. Easy to set up and take down.

Provides great stability at the rear of our 5th wheel.

We bought this because we have a 5th wheel with a rear kitchen making the rear end of our 5th wheel somewhat heavy so we got this hitch mounted stabilizer from MORryde and it works great. My husband said it was super easy to install and he tested it by jumping around in the kitchen to see if the movement of the rig was better which it absolutely was. Would definitely recommend this item especially if you have a rear kitchen.

The MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer has reduced our Fifth wheel from movement when walking and the wash machine.

Works as advertised, came quick easy to install

Easy ordering and quick delivery.

This really helped settle down the rear end of my 42 foot Riverstone fifth wheel… I would highly recommend it. And so easy to set up.

I have not had a chance to use it yet but it is well built and heavy duty

Initially, I thought this product really worked well. But after using it for a few times, I have come to the conclusion that it does not provide the stabilization that it is marketed to do. I have stopped using it because I do not believe it works as advertised. The rig is no more stable than it was prior to adding the stabilizer. When you get up out of a chair and walk across the room, the trailer moves with every step. It is well built and easy to setup. For me, it has become just another piece of equipment to carry around. It is now in my garage at home collecting dust. I do not recommend spending the money to purchase this item.

Works really well removing movement/bounce to the rear portion of RV.

Makes a big difference on movement in the fifth wheel. Easy to set up and easy to stow for travel.

  • Recommended Undercarriage Spare Tire Mount for 5th Wheel RV
If I understand correctly, you are wanting a frame mounted spare tire carrier that mounts under your 5th wheel RV. We have a few options available, my preferred being the Lippert Underchassis Double Bin Storage Unit w/ Spare Tire Carrier, # LC125460. This has overall dimensions of 99-1/2" long x 19-1/8" wide x 8-1/4" tall with a built-in winch in the center of the unit to raise and lower your spare tire. But in addition, it has a 27-7/8" long x 17" wide x 8" tall, slide-out bins with...

  • Class C Motorhome/RV Stabilizers That Are Not Permanently Attached To The Frame
Yes, you can use a Leveling Scissor Jack Set # JSC-24 to stabilize your Class C motorhome without having to attach them to your frame. Some of the more popular options are the MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer # MR22AR and Valterra Folding Manual Stabilizer # 020106 for stabilizing a motorhome. Since you will not be attaching the jacks to your motorhome these are easier to position and raise than attempting to hole a scissor jack style stabilizer. My preference would be to use...

  • Trailer Hitch With Two Receivers For 2020 Ford F-450 Super Duty
While you wouldn't be able to weld another 2" receiver on, there is a solution for your 2020 Ford F-450 to use your hitch-mounted flag pole mount with the MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR. What you would do is add a TorkLift hitch that has two receivers, with the bottom being a 2" receiver and the top being a 2-1/2" receiver, though it does come with a 2" adapter sleeve. The correct fit for your '20 F-450 is the following: - TorkLift SuperHitch...

  • Does MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer # MR22AR Have Minimum Hitch Tongue Weight Requirement
The MORryde hitch stabilizer part # MR22AR does not have any tongue weight minimum requirements for the hitch it is used in. It doesn't put that much stress on a hitch when used properly so it was not rated at all. Your hitch that has a 300 lb rating would be totally safe.

  • Best Place to Install Scissor Jacks on Winnebago Motorhome
When installing scissor jacks like the etrailer Scissor Jacks with Handle # e99012 you're basically looking for strong points on the frame like what you mentioned. There aren't any "set" places to install the jacks so it's more or less about using your best judgement. With that being said, if you aren't utilizing the trailer hitch on your Winnebago you might consider using the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer # MR22AR instead. This stores inside your motorhome and then installs by connecting...

  • Will Adding A MORryde Hitch Stabilizer Next To The Rear Stabilizers Still Help
You might not notice as much of difference adding the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR since you stated your stabilizers are close by but you'd still be adding more support for your 2011 Keystone Montana 3625RE. Stabilizers definitely aren't perfect so the more support you add the better your trailer will feel when walking around inside.

  • Is There an Ideal Spacing For the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer Feet To Be Spread?
With the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR want to look at the angle you are creating on the arms. You want each arm to form a 45 degree angle to the ground to give you the strongest base. As no two vehicles will have the same height you want each foot to stick out the same height of your hitch. So if the hitch is 16" from the ground and you are on flat ground each leg will be 16" from center or 32" apart.

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jacks for a Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 RV Van Conversion
I have a couple universal options you can consider to stabilize your Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 as there is not a custom fit option. The MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer # MR22AR is a great option if you have a 2" receiver on you Sprinter. This will fit into your receiver so there is no need to drill into your frame. As it is also as far back on your Sprinter as you can go it will give you great stabilization from front to rear. We also have the 24" Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002...

  • Recommended Front Stabilizers for A-Frame Camper
Since you don't want to install scissor jacks I recommend using the Ultra-Fab Stackable Stabilizers for Small Trailers and Campers # UF48-979003. These have a height adjustment of 11-17" and each one has a capacity of 6,000 lbs. They're perfect for an application like yours where you don't want to permanently mount a stabilizer. They also stack up when you store them so they won't take up a lot of space.

Since the MORryde 5th Wheel Cross Brace Landing Gear Stabilizer # MR72AR fully extends up to 80" and the distance between your landing gear jacks is 81" I don't see this kit fitting your application unfortunately. Instead you might consider the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR or the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit # LC191023 which doesn't have to stretch from landing jack leg to landing jack leg.

  • Will MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer MR22AR Work On Grand Design Reflection 31MB?
As long as your Grand Design Reflection 31MB has a 2" trailer hitch receiver on the back of it, and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the ground measures 19" - 39-3/4" then the MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR you were looking at will work perfectly. The # MR22AR will do a great job of providing extra stabilization to your trailer while it is parked. If you do not already have a trailer hitch receiver on your 31MB you can add one using the...
