Fold-down steps are typically installed on travel trailers and 5th wheels. The fold-down steps from MORryde lift up to latch into your camper's doorway for storage. To ensure that you choose the correct size for your application, there are a few measurements you will need to take.
The MORryde StepAbove entry steps install inside your camper's doorframe. Measuring for this may seem tricky, but once you know what to look for, figuring out the right fit for your RV doorway is easy.
Measure between the door frame flanges to determine your doorway width, and use this to find the steps that will fit into your camper's doorway. You will need a doorway that is between 27-3/4" and 28-1/4" wide for these steps to work.
If it turns out that you have a wider or narrower doorway, there are other step assemblies that fit doorways ranging from 21-3/4" wide to 30-1/4" wide. A full list of the available steps is below.
The doorway threshold will be used as the mounting point to determine how many steps you will need.
To decide how many steps you'll need, measure from the mounting point to the ground. This is called the entry height. The entry height should roughly match the height of the steps when they're fully extended.
Once you've determined your entry height and your doorway width, use the chart below to find the MORryde steps that will work for you. Choose the doorway width that is closest to your measurements without going over.

Gas struts make it easy to lift and lower steps.The steps are an excellent upgrade. When installed they could be lifted up and down by a child. I had a problem with the install. The problem was with the plate opposite the plate with the cylinders. The bottom hole in the plate was drilled so low that it was below the hinge level. The video that shows the install on YouTube by the MORryde tech shows him installing the bottom screw just above the hinge. The hole on the plate that I have is lower than the one in the video. I could not get that screw installed. I had to drill a new hole above the hole that could not be accessed and install the screw there. Where the hole is that I drilled is similar to the location that is shown on the installation video by MORride.
Excellent steps, strong and secure. Next is to get the side handle to help my wife who had knee surgery. A lot wider then our last steps and with my wife helping me put them in in less than an hour.
Step fit perfectly and we’re easy to install. Fast shipping and arrived undamaged!!!
I like the improvements they made to it, for instance the first step is wider and the legs extension is better without the pins.
Excellent product bolted right in where 3 step unit had been.

Steps are awesome, etrailer customer service is excellent. Make sure you fold the end of the hinge pin underneath before screwing down. In the picture you can see how not to do it.

The steps were perfect fit and installed easily in about ten minutes. They are well made and definitely safer than the stock steps that came on our travel trailer. The steps were missing the leg extensions but an email to customer service and they were quickly sent directly from manufacturers. Great customer service from Michelle her team!

I think your products are of good quality and easy to install or use . What I have a problem with is the shippers destroying the packages and loosing products from inside the boxes and damaging what's inside. I think etrailer should look into this and make the shippers pay for what they have done.

Five stars to E-trailer for customer service! The stairs arrived undamaged. Was a concern because of comments made in the reviews. Installation was easy. Although I hadn't had any damage, one leg has a very tight fit when sliding it in or out. The other one slides very easily. I feel this is a assembly issue. I had to adjust the locking side brackets for my install. Not a big deal. Once installed the locking side brackets are not as tight a fit as I would like when in the transport position. I bought MORryde because I can remove the stairs for easier access due to my parking situation. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Overall the step is much more stable than the original springboard that came with our trailer. The instructions were close to being right. Only problem was you need to move the steps back approximately 15/16" of an inch from the threshold in order for your door to close. Now I have 2 extra holes in my floor. Other than that they work well. Thanks.

These steps helped us in multiple ways.
1. Getting in and out of the trailer no longer rocks the whole trailer
2. The removed traditional steps allowed us to install another storage box
3. The steps are sturdy and safer in my opinion.
Installation instructions were very clear. I was able to install this on my own. Our door and interior was to small for the assist model, but my wife has no issues lifting these light weight and well balanced steps.
Takes an extra minute to clean before you store them inside but they are easy to clean.
I would purchase these again.

We have a Joyco Jayflight with a small door, with some slight modifications we got it to fit. Works great and makes it a lot easer to get in and out of our unit. For this unit, it should be 1/2" smaller in width. We trimed 3/8" from top by grinding down the mounting bracket..

Box arrived trashed as expected from previous reviews. Missing hinge pins and mounting hardware and instructions. Mounting plate and hinges bent. Straightened out the plate and hinges. Used a punch to replace the pin. Installed in about 2 1/2 hours including the straightening and buying the hardware. All that being said I don't know why all trailers don't have these steps. Makes it easier for my senior dogs to enter. Stable and wide.etrailer customer service is awesome

I really enjoy the steps that I purchase.
The only problem that I have is when I purchased them I was told that if I wanted to I could add on the easy lift. After I received the steps I went to order easy lift and they said that it is not an accessory. If I would’ve known that before I ordered it I would’ve ordered the one with the lift kit. So I feel that I was lied to.
