Wireless tow lights install on your vehicle without the hassle of wiring.

These wireless, removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed car or trailer. With this setup, you won't need to tap into existing wiring for installation. With other magnetic tow lights, you have to run cords from the lights to the front of the towed car or trailer - and then run an additional cord to connect to your tow vehicle - every time you need to tow. These tow lights work wirelessly to eliminate that hassle. And the wireless design also allows you to move the lights from one vehicle or trailer to another in minutes.

Foil covers magnet to protect your trailer or towed vehicle's paint.

The lights attach directly to almost any metal surface with the built-in heavy-duty, foil-covered magnets, which won't damage your vehicle's paint. And the handy on/off switch lets you use the lights only when you need them, saving battery power.

7-Way, RV-style connector7-Way connector plugged in.

Setup is simple. The included trailer connector has a 7-way plug on one end and a 4-way plug on the other end for versatile use. Plug the connector into the 4-way flat or the 7-way, RV-style port on your RV or tow vehicle. A built-in, detachable antenna on the connector bends and rotates so you can adjust it to get the optimal signal. Turn the switch on each light to "on," and attach the tow lights to the back of your towed car or trailer, as far apart as is practical. There are no wires connecting the lights to each other, so you don't have to worry about securing any excess wiring.

Each light conveniently detaches from its base.

Each light detaches from its base so you can easily access the battery compartment. Six AAA batteries (not included) power each light.

Used the lights on a three-day trip that involved day and night driving. They worked great. I had strong crosswinds (20 to 30 mph) during part of the trip. Also, went thru a rain storm. The lights stayed attached to the car being towed. The lights worked great. The lights are a great, cost effective solution to lighting a towed vehicle.

I will tell you what I think. These lights are worthless! No need for me to even put batteries in them. There is no way the magnets are strong enough to hold while traveling down the road. I questioned reviewers who said they fell off, but now I am telling any potential buyers, you may not even make it to the expressway. I am extremely angry at etrailer for even listing them on their website, and will never purchase anything from them again. Wasted my time, and now I have to go through the return process for something that shouldn’t even be on the market!

The magnets in the lights have been tested and will hold as long as they are attached to a metal area on the vehicle. You can also use part # 3378895404
Buyers Products Magnetic Mounting Plate - Self-Adhesive - 3-1/2" Square - Qty 4
$26.90
on the vehicle to allow for a better magnetic connection. You can also hardwire a diode kit like part # RM-154
Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit
$108.65
versus using magnetic lights.

I bought this wireless product as a replacement for a wired version. I'm hoping the lights are bright.

by:

When I ordered the item it said it would arrive a specific time. Which is why I ordered it prior to our trip. But it arrived 2 days after we left on our trip. I have not been home yet to see if they will even work.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Magnets not that strong. Had to build alternative way to hold lights in place. We thought there would be more steel on the rear of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler that we could attach the magnetic lights to. I'm planning to build a 2 inch receiver mounted bracket that will allow placement and attachment of the lights.

Comments
I do have an alternate part that helps to provide a magnetic base to attach the lights to. It is part # 3378895404

. They are black powder-coated carbon steel plates are magnetic and are backed with strong and sticky 3M tape.

The items is great just as described in the video. Only wish that it used a rechargeable battery inside as six (6) batteries total (12) will be a lot of battery when using it. But not to have wiring all over the place will be worth it.

by:

Haven't yet got the dozen AA batteries the lights need, but they appear to be very well made, big and bright. The transmitter needs a better way to mount it, but a bungee cord served.

As always shopping with e-trailer was great and Kaleigh was great

We purchased the wireless Pilot Magnetic Tow Lights as a temporary solution while waiting for the Trailermate wiring that will use the cars taillights. For the price, I expected a better light.

by:

So far these wireless trailer lights have performed perfectly. No issues and I couldn't be happier. Set up was easy.

by:

Works just as described

After buying many, many sets of the wired tow lights for my portable sign business and having to constantly untangle and repair the wires, I decided to spend the extra $ and get something good.
These lights work great, just remember to turn off the switches on the lights after use as they run on batteries. I would have paid extra for a case as they are very nice lights and I want to keep them in something safe after use. Great product highly recommend.

Comments
I had previously given these a 5 star and I have had these lights less than a year now and the magnet did not hold the lights to the trailer and I just got done picking up the pieces off the highway. Very disappointed with these lights and will not replace them with a wireless system.

Not good! I hit a bump and for some reason 1 of the lights separated from the base where the battery compartment is and the light fell off and was run over by multiple cars. I have 30 pieces. They worked good up to this point and I am not sure why it separated it was secure.

Novel idea, and I had high hopes. But I have some things to point out that aren't great.
The wireless can be spotty, so be sure to test and can reset it by un/replugging the 7 pin transmitter.
The magnets are not that strong, so I had to zip tie them to the back of the trailer I was using.

Pleasure doing business. Item as described. Exactly what I was looking for.

Spartan

Works great on a 36’ trailer that was towed from NC - OH. The lights was used on an old Spartan house trailer that is going to be restored.

by:

So far everything looks very good, will update after first trip.

by:

Works perfect, will add a more secure clamp to hold lights

by:

These lights work good as tail and brake lights but have a problem with blinking on and off. They may blink with the turn 5 times in a row and then ignore the next 20 pulses. Or they ignore all turn signal pulses. They don't work as emergency lights very well at all. They pick up about one of every 10 on/off pulses with the left working a little better than the right. The package states they will recieve at over 100 feet but they only work up to 30 feet. I tried changing the batteries, using a different tow vehicle, and moving the transmitter with no improvement.

by:

Arrived in good condition and appears to be excellent quality

Customers service, advice and delivery have always when great from these folks,!

1999 Jeep Wrangler

Used these on our tow jeep. We did use long zip ties to secure them to the bumper and they worked great. Good value for the price!

Comments
We have used the lights a couple times since purchasing them. they seem to work great. when we put the Jeep into storage, we always remove the batteries and remove the lights from the mounting plates for storage.
Peggy S - 08/24/2020

by:

lights worked ok. when running lights we on the turn signals did not blink, stayed on constantly until the turn signal was turned off. worked fine when running lights were not on. magnetic bases are weak. any bump would cause lights to fall off of vehicle they were placed on. ended up loosing one.

by:

The only significant steel was the rear tow hooks on the back of the Gladiator. The plastic buttons on the back had to be removed to let the magnets get a hold. Tie down straps had to used to safely secure the lights. Otherwise, works nicely without having to splice into the vehicle wiring

Comments
Uses a lot of batteries, and even with fresh batteries, the lights are pretty dim and hard to see
Kenneth W - 09/11/2020

by:

They quit working after about the third time I used them tried everything. Still don’t work

Comments
The first thing I would check would be the 6 AAA batteries to make sure they all have charge. I spoke to my contact with the manufacturer and the batteries will need replaced after about 12 hours of usage. The next thing I would check would be for corrosion on the plugs, and I would maybe add some grease for extra protection. Lastly, though not common, is some sort of interference with another wireless transmission like the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System # RM-9400
Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional
$1,493.79
. Also note, this item has a 1 year warranty.

Purchase the Pilot magnetic tow lights with wireless controller. worked very well. I was worried about whether the magnetic would hold up under wind when traveling since I could not find any information on wind test. I put a zip tie on each of the lights so I would not lose them in case they didn't stay on. But they did over 800 miles. I still plan on using zip ties just to be sure. Overall, I would give the lights a thumbs up.
