Backpack Blower Holder

The backpack blower holder is designed to securely grip your blower at its grab handle. Simply hang your blower from the hook and then fold down the integrated steel arm. Once the arm is properly positioned over the hook, you can lock it in place with a padlock (sold separately).

If you have a STIHL 420 backpack blower, you will need to use Pack'Em adapter PA-STIHL420 (sold separately). A different adapter, PA-STIHLECHO, is required if you have a STIHL 550, STIHL 600, ECHO or RedMax blower.

Cooler Holder

The beverage cooler rack consists of a steel frame that supports the weight of a cooler and two adjustable straps to hold it in place. This rack is designed to hold a three- to five-gallon, round cooler or pesticide sprayer.

Trimmer Line Holder

The line holder can hold a three- to five-pound spool of trimmer line. Just slide the spool onto the center rod of the holder and then hook the rod back in place. Now your trimmer line is securely stored and easily accessible for quick, painless unwinding directly from the spool.

Shovel Holder

The shovel holder allows you to carry up to six straight-handle shovels, rakes or brooms. Simply slide the tools into both the top and bottom holes of the rack and you're good to go.

Video Transcript for PackEm Shovel, Blower, Line Spool and Round Cooler Rack Review

Today we are going to do a product demo, review and install of the Packem Rack open utility trailers. Can hold up to six shovels, one blower, one spool line and one round cooler. File number PK-BM-23-OP1. Here's what our trailer looks like before our Packem rack. With storage issues like this it'll be hard to maintain our equipment. Now, here's what it looks like once we have all our equipment safely and securely stored in out Packem rack. As you see it's a solid steel construction, has a nice grey powder coated finish, with a unique hammered style finish to give it a little style.

Let's go ahead and put our equipment onto our rack. We can take our long handled tools, feed them down through the holders, and, as you can see, it's going to give us a nice, solid holding point to keep our tools in place so they're not bouncing around or in our way as we run down the road or we're working. Now, we put our shovel in place. You can also see it has the nice rubber holding ring as we go past through it, hold our shovel or long handled tool n place to prevent it from bouncing or shifting around. This will not only protect our rack but our tool as well.

We have a total of six holders and, as you can see, it's multi-tool, it doesn't have to be one specific tool. Now, let's go ahead and load up our backpack bar. We'll take the top handle, set it in on the top hook, it'll then allow the body to come down against our lower mount. As you can see here in our lower mount, we can just put our Bungeeer stretch cord through it . Go ahead and catch my handle and then bring it all the way around to the other side where is an identical hole to hook into. Here at the top we've added a secure location where we could add a padlock so it'll go through the top mount preventing it from just being taken off our rack. Now our rack is designed to hold three and five pounds stringer spools.

To install the spool, we're going to go ahead and remove the wing nut here on the outside and go ahead and pull the threaded rod out far enough that we can rotate it away. We'll pull the metal and rubber washer off, put our spool on, reinstall the rubber and metal washer, line the threaded rod back up with the hole and reinstall the lock washer and wing not. Just like that, we've now got a good secure location that's easily accessible for our stringer spool, and whether it's a hot day or not, after working hard everyone likes a refreshment so we'll go and put our cooler in place. There are two straps, I'm going to go ahead and feed it around the cooler, then I'll slide them up into place .. These are nice, easy to operate.

Pull straps for securing our cooler to the rack. We'll begin with the upright rail. The upright rail will get bolted here at the bottom of our trailer frame and on our side rail, know you will need to supply the hardware. We've already got pre-drilled holes here in the side rail and in the bottom frame, so we'll go ahead and install our bolt, flat washer and nut. Each rail has two attachment points. Now, I'm just going to install this hardware, finger tight this time. Now with our vertical rail, loosely installed, we're ready to install the shovel holder. We'll use the provided bolt and nylon lock nut for securing the holder to the rail. Going through the pre-drilled holes in the side rail and the pre-drilled holes here in the holder, we can secure it to the upright rails. Now with our bottom half installed I'll repeat the same process with our top half. Now, as you can see here in our side rail, we've got multiple mounting locations so we can set it as high as here, or as low as here. It's best to go ahead and take your shortest long handled tool, set it into position and get an idea what best will work for your equipment. Looks like for us, it's going to be the second set of pre-drilled holes down. Let's go and take our hardware and secure our upper holder. Now that we have our hardware in place for both holders we're going to go ahead and tighten down the holders to the rails and the rails to the trailer. Just like that, we've created a nice solid rack for our long handled rakes, shovels, whatever long handled accessory or tool we have. Next, we're going to go ahead and install the OP-1 portion of our kit. This will be our string line holder, water cooler and backpack blower holder. Provided with these kit will be a bolt and nylon lock nut to secure the holder. The holder has two pre-drilled holes that will line up with the pre-drilled holes in our upright rails. Go ahead and put our bolt in, and then take the nylon lock nut, and install it, securing it in place. Now that I have my hardware installed I'm going to tighten it down. Next, we are going to put our water cooler holder in place. Makes it simple and easy with the pre-drilled holes in out upright rail to simply line up the pre-drilled holes in our water cooler holder with the rail, install the hardware and then tighten it down. Just like that, I've now got my cooler holder in place. Now, we're going to install the backpack blower mount. Now, our blower mount has both a top and bottom section, our top one will come with a bolt and nut for securing here, to our rail. Again, we're just lining up the pre-drilled holes and then installing the nylon lock nut provided for securing it. The bottom will have two bolts and two nylon lock nuts, and just like that, our backpack blower mount is in place and we'll tighten it down. Now, with our rack installed and secured we can go ahead and load it up and hit the road. And there you have it for the review and install of the Packem rack for open utility trailers part number PK-BM-23-OP1 on our utility trailer. .

Average Customer Rating:  4.1 out of 5 stars   (12 Customer Reviews)

It's ok... The rubber bumpers in the holes for the hand tools come out every time we pull a tool, and the one cross bar weld (the top one where the tools go in first) broke a few months ago. Trying to make it to the end of season so we can take it down and have it rewelded somewhere.

I see that this order was placed last year. I have contacted the manufacturer and they have confirmed that this item has a one-year warranty. So, unfortunately, we will not be able to cover this under warranty.

works great for the backpack blower. the straps sun bake fast and snap. lost a cooler that way. the rest of the rack has been working great though! just replace the straps with higher quality ones from [store] and you're smooth sailing.

My first impression was it looks great/sturdy etc. Installing it wasn’t too bad , but actually using it was a different story. Had a hard time getting hand tools out of sleeved holes. Had to cut with a razor blade the ends of the rakes ( the rubber grip ends ) . So that took some time as I was on a job, and also don’t have grips on some of my tools. They were getting stuck in the gromets as I would pull them up. Any ways cool rack still just had to deal with that and make do with what I spent [price] on. Also be cool if the weed whacking string didn’t fly every where getting tangled. Prob could have crafted something to keep that from happening ...

Unlike the advertised picture here at etrailer I decided to mount the cooler and blower on the inside. As a result it's harder to get tools into the first and last slots. Overall it's a nice setup. Was able to install in the dark of night using a flashlight, so not much to it. Does not include trailer mounting hardware. I called to confirm the included hardware is only for the frame.

Good product but water cooler holder straps broke due to dry rot not long after purchase. So I am unable to use the water cooler.

Simple design and easy to install. Delivery was fast as well! The only downside is that there are no bolts included to attach to trailer. (Could have been stated in the description) This is to be expected though since all trailers will differ. Completely satisfied.

This is a great product. It's sturdy and easy to install. It really cleaned up my trailer. Also etrailer is great. They had great communication and fast shipping. A+ all around.

Makes trailer alot more neat plus better for equimpment. also very fast shipping

Very nice rack is very strong. It shiped quick and with no problems.

Works great. Strap for cooler dry rotted from sun in 6 months. Other than that I would give it 5 stars

Very nice and easy set up. Quick delivery. Priced great

  • Is Stihl Adapter RA-STIHL Required for Installing Stihl BR350 Blower on Pack'Em Rack PK-BM-23-OP1
My contact at Rack 'Em confirmed that you will need their adapter kit # RA-STIHL in order to mount your Stihl BR350 blower on their Rack for Open Utility Trailers # PK-BM-23-OP1. Since different trailers require different lengths of hardware to mount the rack you can source that locally; just be sure to use four each Grade 8 bolts, washers, and lock nuts.

  • Is There a Removable Shovel Holder for Open Utility Trailers
The only type of shovel rack we offer for open utility trailers is the Pack'Em Rack for Open Utility Trailers part # PK-BM-23-OP1 which allows for up to six straight-handle shovels to be carried. It will be bolted directly to the side rails and is not easily removable. There isn't a version of the Lockable Dual Trimmer Rack for Open Utility Trailers part # 288-01811 for shovels though you could still use this for that with some small modifications if you wanted.
