This is it!! If you have a Porsche Cayenne with a tow package (mine's a 2017) and you're wondering why the wiring "connector" that came from the factory is just a plate with nothing to plug in to... This is the thing you need! It fits the holes in the mounting bracket perfectly and plugs right into the harness coming out of the car (after you carefully release the little clip holding the clip connecting the plate to the harness (no, that's not a typo). I also purchased a matching 7 to 4-pin adapter, so I can easily connect to either. And etrailer had it all... and made it easy. Quick shipping, just as promised. Love e-Trailer! :)

2004 Nissan Titan

The 3 star rating is because this is not a direct replacement for a Nissan Armada. I bought this to replace the original socket on a 2004 Nissan armada. The hitch on the car says it is a Nissan hitch. I did not notice that the original socket mounted as a twist lock type and the bracket had no mounting screws when I ordered this socket. In defense of the manufacture and distributor of this socket the description did not say it was a direct replacement for an armada the assumption would be that the hitch would be the same as a titan. This was no big deal for me since I had a drill and bits to drill mounting holes and used # 8 sheet metal screws. Just have to be careful to drill the holes the right size so they self thread properly. I have been looking to see if there is a direct replacement for the original socket but can't seem to find one not even on Nissan's parts web site so I guess you just have to do what I did. I didn't think to take a video of the installation but I have included a picture of the finished install.

2008 Porsche Cayenne

This is the original plug and play. For VW SUV's this does the trick. I recommend using some anti-seize on the bolts that secure this into the mount. I have this on both an Audi and a Porsche both work great. The picture shows what the car some with so you simply plug this unit into the factory socket and secure with 4 machine screws.

2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Was exact replacement for broken Ford on my Dads 2006 F-350 Super Duty truck. Lock catch on door had broke off, this allowed replacement without cutting any wires as it took the stock back side connector.

Thanks,

Comments
Great, this was for my dads 2006 F-350, original broke, and he bought a universal that was going to require cutting and splicing wires. I said, no, we can get the exact replacement and use this connector to hook up the back side. It fit perfectly. Identical except doesnt have the Ford logo on it. Not that that matters.

Item was as advertised. Shipping was on time and no problems of any kind. Etrailer.Com are my go to guys for trailer parts.

Often I use my utility tractor to move my gooseneck trailer around on the property. Using the new electric brake controller, I can park the trailer by locking the brakes entirely or to apply just enough braking to prevent the loaded trailer from pushing the tractor.

It’s been a year since I installed the brake controller on my tractor and I continue to be pleased with the result. Often I use my utility tractor to move my gooseneck trailer around on the property. Using the new electric brake controller, I can park the trailer by locking the brakes entirely or to apply just enough braking to prevent the loaded trailer from pushing the tractor. As always, etrailer.com provides the proper parts and expertise to do the job right.

The socket was a direct replacement for the factory one.on my Ford Super Duty. Fit and worked great.

Volkswagen

The product required a little modification in order to fit my Volkswagen ID.4. There is a plastic bar, about 1/8 inch thick on the back of the socket that bumps into the metal plate that the socket has to screw into. This prevents the screw holes from lining up. Took a file and cut a notch into the bar thereby allowing the connector to line up and be screwed in. No big problem.

by:

Exactly what I needed for my 2014 Porsche Cayenne. To the left of the rear hitch is the factory wiring connector. After removing four screws you will find a blue round plug. The Polack adapter attaches using the 4 factory holes and then I added a round four pin flat adapter for my trailer lights. I have not actually tested it yet but feel confident that everything will work

by:

The installation was easy and the part is good quality. We have been using it with our new 5th wheel and have had no issues with connections.

Still working great after a year.

This was absolutely perfect for what I needed. I'm still using it today. It changed my factory setup into something that actually works with my trailer.

Plug and play on ID.4 2022 AWD PRO S. Blanking plate is removed by taking out 4ea. 25 toric screws. Blanking plate mimics this socket and locks into socket on car. The release for blanking plate is at top of socket on car.

by:
2002 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Exact replacement on 2002 F350! Getting the right part is plug and play and a substantial time saver compared to installing a new mounting bracket and individual wires that would be required for a universal socket.

Comments
This plug was exactly as described and was the same make, model, and fit as the OEM.

Hi, I am a ASE Certified Automotive technician for 30-plus years. I have to say these parts are Factory quality, the option for Direct Fit everything plugs right into the wiring harnesses fits as if they came as original equipment with the vehicle and the same quality. When ordering parts if you call and speak to an operator that extremely helpful and actually know what's going on. And their tech support this extremely knowledgeable.
