2019 Jeep Wrangler

Great product and thanks to etrailer.com for the excellent videos detailing how to install the Demco Stay-In-Play Duo braking system. As a result of watching all of the available videos, I learned that there where a couple of different ways to install the system in our Jeep Wranglers. The first installation I did was in our 2019 Wrangler and that was super easy following the one video on your website. The second installation of the system was not as easy because our 2021 Wrangler has a manual transmission and required having to drill a hole in the firewall/floor board to run the wiring and vacuum tube from the passenger compartment to the engine area. If etrailer.com ever has an installation on a Jeep Wrangler with a manual transmission to perform, hopefully they will video tape that installation to guide customers with Jeeps with manual transmissions. I think etrailer.com's idea of mounting the control box on the fuse box is by far the cleanest and easiest way to install the Demco braking system. I also followed etrailer.com's videos for installing the brake light system and the base plate on both our Wranglers and could not be happier with them. Thanks etrailer for all you offer.

2001 Jeep Cherokee

This is the third time I have order base plates and electrical hook ups from etrailer and love this company. We have a 1979 MCI Bus conversion and it is difficult at time finding things for towing etc for it because of age. Not with etrailer, they have it all. We have towed a 96 S-19 chevy, a 98 Jeep was next and this year we got a 2001 Jeep Cherokee which we got the electrical kit for from etrailer.com and the base plates are still on the way. Everything fits nicely and if you are unsure of how it all goes together just watch their video''s on the etrailer website which are very informational. Thank You etrailer.com for being there when we need you. See you all down the road....

This was a fairly easy kit to install. The video was quite helpful. The hardest part was crawling around on the ground to run the wire from the from to the back. If you have access to a life it would make it a LOT simpler.

The RM-154 wiring kit was a snap to install. The etrailer instructional videos were all I needed. I didn't even open the installation instructions that came with the kit. I am always impressed with etrailer. The employees are very knowledgeable and eager to help. I have used etrailer for several RV and trailer projects over the past few years and they have been a pleasure to do business with. They are the best.

The product worked fine. However, I just found out about wireless brake lights for tow car from a fellow camper. Had I known I would’ve gladly purchased that option over running wires and tapping into my vehicles wiring. Please share that product with all tow bar consumers. My wires work well but were a pain to install. Thanks for all of the great videos I needed to complete the install. I do recommend etrailer.com to everyone.

I recently installed the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler. As an OCD electrical engineer, I’m particular about wiring, and wasn’t thrilled about the “through the chassis frame” approach in the etrailer.com videos. Instead, after downloading the reading the installations for the OEM’s wiring kit, I choose to install the wiring through the cabin with existing wiring. The OEM kit installs on the passenger side, but since I was also installing a Brake Buddy Stealth system and needed to run wires along the driver side, I choose to go that route. Since I was pulling interior trim pieces in the vicinity of the side air bags and the seat belt locking mechanisms, I first disconnected and isolated the neutral battery connections. Bottom line, everything works and I ended up with a very clean installation. I’m considering now connecting the third high brake light and the license plate light. A project for another day...

This isn't the first time I've installed a wiring harness and this one was a nice one (I thought). But I am having problems with the right light (both brake and running light). I've tried calling and talking to your customer support with no answer! I've found if I turn on my lights, at least the running lights all work (but not the brake light or turn signal). I'm thinking it's a grounding problem, but haven't been able to fix it so may have to try someone else's wiring harness.

2009 Smart fortwo

I installed the wiring harness yesterday and it took about 4 hours. Thats actually 4 hours of work, in reality it was more like 6 hours but most of the time was trying to figure out how to route the wiring which is not the fault of the harness. Everything worked as advertised with no gotchya's or any issues which was really surprising. I installed it on a 2009 Smart fortwo Passion which I am towing behind my motorhome. My advice for anyone using this is take your time, read the directions carefully before you start and follow them step by step and you should have no issues.

Comments
Weve put about 15,000 miles on the MHcar since installing the wiring harness and have no issues what so ever which when towing is a very welcome relief. I am very happy with your product and would highly recommend it.
