Today you're going to be taking a look at the RoadMaster 7-wire to 6-wire coiled to straight cord for RoadMaster tow bars.Whenever you're flat-towing your vehicle, you need to have the lights transferred from your motor home to your tow vehicle, and we need to get a way to transfer all those signals and possibly a power source iwhen we charge our battery. That's where our RoadMaster cable is going to take care of all those problems for us. This is going to be specifically made as a replacement for RoadMaster tow bars, however it is gonna work with any tow bar and any tow vehicle.It's gonna be a hybrid style cable, which means we're going to have a coiled section that's going to be close to the motor home and then it will turn into a straight cable that will go all the way till we plug it in to our towed vehicle. The straight end of the cable is gonna be great for tow bars that have that channel guide in them, so we can keep everything looking nice and keep all that extra slack from dragging on the ground.Now, our cable is gonna have a silicon injected seven-way on the motor home side, that way we can prevent any kind of corrosion from building up inside that plug. On the other end, on the towed vehicle side, we're gonna have a six-way connector. This connector is not gonna be on there when it comes in the package, it's just gonna have the connector and then a blunt cut wire as the end.
That way, we can match up our towed vehicle wiring to our motor home and make sure everything is right.Now, since some of the cable is going to be exposed to the elements, they put this vinyl coating on there, which is going to be resistant to water, oil and most chemicals that we find on the road. So it is going to last us a long time. Now, even if you have some extensions, like we have this high load adapter, we're just gonna push everything back, farther away from the motor home. We're still gonna have plenty of cable to get everything hooked up because when it's extended all the way out, it's gonna be a full eight feet long.If you're looking for a replacement cable for your RoadMaster tow bar, or if you're setting up a new flat tow, this is gonna be a great choice. Now, keep in mind that it's only gonna be one component you need for a complete, safe flat tow setup.
For a complete setup, you're gonna need a base plate, a tow bar, tow bar wiring, a breaking system and finally, safety cables. That will finish up your look at the 7-wire to 6-wire coiled to straight cord for RoadMaster tow bars.

This product has NO 6-wire to 7-wire connector between vehicles and NO metal connector to the tow bar. Included wiring diagram shows connections to additional purchase 6-wire towed vehicle socket. Good length. Metal connector to tow bar will need to be purchased or made from scrap metal.

Easy to wire the six pin with instructions & diagram included. Fits great and coiled portion will allow for extra length & flexibility.

So 3 stars! Why? The small phillips head screw that needs to be removed in order to expose the socket that needs to be wired was in so tight that I stripped it trying to remove it. That had to be s a fluke. I complained to etrailer and they sent me a replacement 6-Pole, Round Pin connector. I wholeheartedly give etrailer 5 stars for customer service. They are awesome!
