The drawbars, or front arms, on the crossbar-style series base plate kit are supremely easy to mount and remove. Just insert them into the brackets and twist to lock them in place. To remove, simply twist the arms back and pull them out. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs, as well.

Brackets install on your vehicle's frame to provide attachment points for your tow bar.I would have given this product a 5 but there were a few minor adjustments needed. Over all it was an easy install which I did myself. My wife was satisfied with it because it was her car being towed. We were finally able to use it and everything worked great, very easy hook up and release. I would recommend this setup for anyone towing up to 8000 lbs.
I purchased this Base Plate kit for my 2016 Cadillac SRX & installed the kit myself. etrailer sales person Shawn B. was very helpful with the order process & had it shipped direct to me from the manufacturer which saved time. The installation is not difficult except for the alignment of the base plates to fit through the grille. I had to loosen the plates & drill new holes to make the plates align with the grille openings.

etrailer installation video made this baseplate rather easy to install for the particular model car we use it on. Along with the printed installation manual, installation was easy to figure out.
NOTE: the torque values listed in the manual for the bolts that attach the baseplate to the chassis must not be correct for all applications. My application said to re-use the existing bolts, but they are not a regular steel bolt. The first bolt twisted right off trying to use the recommended torque. I used normal tightening torque (50-60 Lbs) for the remainder of this part of the install and the base plate has been working great with over 30K miles of use.

I called looking for a base plate that would fit my Ready Brute towbar and Cadillac SRX. After speaking to Rose I had her order both a base plate and adapter bar.
They both installed perfectly. Quality is top of the line, too.
I especially like the fact that the drawbars are removable, leaving a totally clean appearance.
I was hesitant because you have to extend the power steering cooler lines but that task turned out to be extremely easy.
I rate the product, installation and customer service a 10! Highly recommend!
Installed these on a 2011 Cadillac SRX. No problems with them, they work great.

DYI no problem with this item. Some knowledge of how to work a good toolbox and your good to go. Fit was perfect. Should give us thousands of miles towing the SRX behind out Fleetwood Bounder 34 H.

Requires some minor modification to your SRX, but once installed there is very little visible indication that they're there when not towing. Etrailer ships fast!
Easy to install if you are mechanically gifted. Clear instructions and all the hardware was there. Towing my Cadillac is a breeze. Good product. I highly recommend it.
