Today we're going to take a look at the Reese rubber hole cover for the Reese Elite Series under-bed gooseneck trailer hitch. Now this protective cover will help keep dirt and debris from getting into your Reese Elite Series gooseneck trailer hitch when the ball is removed. It is a durable, rubber construction. A few measurements on this, the inside diameter, the hole it goes in is 2 3/8 inches in diameter. The total outside diameter is right at 3 1/2 inches. Now basically what will happen on your gooseneck hitch when you remove your ball from the gooseneck hole, you can just pop this into it, and it will keep any dirt and debris from getting down in there.

This plug did not fit the 5th wheel mount holes on my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing.
Aside from not fitting, Reese is a great brand and these plugs are made of good quality rubber.

I did not use this product quite as intended, but i was perfect for what I needed. I bought a new boat that needed several covers for the holes in the flooring for seat poles that were not being used. The inside sleeve of the covers were just a tad small so I glued a pipe end cover on each one and they work great.

This item most definitely fits the factory installed fifth wheel prep unit for a 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty. This is a Reese cover #30136 and actually fits better than the flat one that came from the factory.

My 2012 Ford F350 SuperDuty came with the Resse Gooseneck under bed hitch set up. After I had the ball removed I needed a cover to put over the hole that was now in by truck bed. I contacted Molly and she hooked me up with the Reese Elite Rubber cover. It fit perfectly and protects the hitch and looks great.

Parts are great. I’m using them with my OEM underbed hitch adapter. They fit perfectly and stay in place better than OEM parts. Just wish Reese made a trim ring for the gooseneck hole to go with their plug.

Thanks for your feedback Rich. Reese does make a cover for their Elite Series under-bed goosenecks and that is part #RP30136. This may work on your OEM Ford hitch, but please check the dimensions to make sure. The outer diameter is 3-1/2 inches, and the inner diameter is 2-3/8 inches.

I was looking for a turnover ball gooseneck 5th wheel setup. I came across etrailer. I ordered the B&W gooseneck for my 2013 dodge 3500. Fit like a glove as they show on their videos. I like the look. But it hangs out over the edge of the bumper because it is so large in diameter. The item was supposed to be a match for my 2005 Dodge Dakota, but it appears to be made for a larger bumper with a deeper recess perhaps. Seems to be 'cosmetic-only'. If water splashes up from the underside, it will cause the water to retain inside the bumper--resulting in probable premature corrosion. However, if I install a hitch using that center hole, the plug will be a good cosmetic and weather-proofing addition. So, I guess the plug is useable with a hitch, but not solely to hide the big unused hole in the bumper.

Just rec'd the product I ordered and it came as pictured. Using for a different purpose --- to fill the hole in each of my rear pedestal seat-bases that I seldom utilize on my Crestliner fishing boat. Fit nicely, and appears to be heavy enough to not blow out on the move. Won't know until open-water season arrives this next month. Can always glue down, I guess.
