Video Transcript for Rear View Safety Inc Backup Cameras and Alarms - Trailer Camera Systems - RVS-770614-213 Review

Today we'll take a look at rear view safety back-up camera system with the trailer/tow quick connect kit and the two cameras. This back-up camera system is perfect for the fifth wheel or travel trailer application or you want a back-up camera on the back of the trailer and a reverse camera on the tow vehicle. It starts with this nice seven inch TFT digital LCD color monitor. It's one inch thin with a flexible monitor mount right here. It has the mirror image capability. They do offer distance grid lines; as you get closer, it will show you the grid lines.

Now they are optional and adjustable if you want. It does include built-in speakers and auto dimming. It does use two channels with an automatic system switch, and it does also come with this wireless remote to control it. The two back-up cameras right here, there are two external rear color cameras. They have a 130 degree viewing angle. Each one uses 18 infrared lights to give you 50 feet of infrared night vision.

Both of them do have built-in lights so you can also hear, besides seeing, what's going on behind you. They are also IP69K rated, so it helps keep out any dirt and moisture, and these cameras do come with all the wiring, connectors, and mounts that are needed. It comes with a nice set of detailed instructions, and it also comes with your trailer/tow quick connect, disconnect kit. That basically is the 26 foot vehicle side monitor cable, the 33 foot camera cable, 66 foot trailer side camera cable, and then this 12 foot quick connect coil cable. That should do it for the review on the rear view safety back-up camera system with the trailer/tow quick connect kit and the two cameras..

There's actually a version of the Rearview Safety Backup Camera kit part # RVS-770614 that comes with a quick disconnect kit for trailer applications like what you mentioned. For that you'd want the part # RVS-770614-213 instead. I attached a picture of what the quick disconnects look like as well. These allow you to easily disconnect the camera wiring of the trailer from the vehicle.

  • Do The Camera Wires On The RVS Backup Camera System Need To Be Installed Away From Other Electrical?
No, the wires running from the camera to the monitor on the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit # RVS-770614-213 should be fine to be installed near electronic devices. For best practice, low voltage (telephone, network, PA, CATV, CCTV, etc.) should be run in separate conduits to minimize interference between the high voltage and low voltage circuits. Since RV's don't use high voltage, you should be fine.

  • Recommended Camera System for Truck and Horse Trailer to Switch Between Two Cameras
For your 1999 Ford F-250 to have both a truck and trailer camera, I recommend the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit - 2 Cameras # RVS-770614-213. This system is designed to be used for truck and trailer use giving you a camera for your truck and one for your trailer so you can constantly see what you need to. This can be done with any of the Rear View Safety cameras, including the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit - 2 Cameras, # RVS-770614-213. The way in which you wire the camera system will dictate how the camera functions for you. • What Back-Up Cameras are Available for a 2017 Wildwood Forest River Travel Trailer?
A back-up camera is a really good idea for a travel trailer, and you have a couple options to choose from. Our most popular system, and the one I recommend, is the Backup Camera System with Side Cameras and Quick Connect Kit, RVS-770616-2133. This is a wired three-camera system; the two side cameras have 120 degree vision and the back-up camera has 130 degree vision. The cameras also hold an IP69K rating, the highest attainable when it comes to keeping out dirt and being waterproof. As...

  • Backup Camera Does Not Power Up When In Reverse But Powers When In Drive
It sounds like you've recently installed a backup camera like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-770614-213 and it's not actually working in reverse; only when in normal gear. Normally something like this is wired into the reverse light circuit so that it only activates when that circuit is powered; it sounds like it's been wired into another circuit-most likely a daytime running light circuit. Without knowing what kind of car this is or the camera system that you've installed it's...

  • Recommended Camera System to Monitor Trailer Tires During Travel
You can pretty much mount the camera for the RVS System # RVS-83112 anywhere you have a flat surface on the truck or trailer, so I'm confident you can find a good spot that allows you to monitor the tires. The system creates its own WiFi signal so interference from mountains or potential loss of connection in remote areas shouldn't be an issue. If you have any reservations about this style though you can always lean on the reliability of a hardwire system like # RVS # RVS-770614-213, which...

  • Difference Between Rear View Safety Camera and Quick Connect Kits for Multiple Trailer Use
The difference between those 2 Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kits is the Kit # RVS-770613-213 comes with 1 camera while the Kit # RVS-770614-213 comes with 2 cameras. They both have the ability to connect up to 3 cameras and they come with the Tow Quick Connect Kit so it's easier to connect the cameras up to your vehicle side with the monitor. I really like the wired backup camera systems because if something goes wrong it's a lot easier to troubleshoot...

  • Can I Turn My RVS 2 Camera System Into a 4 Camera System
I may have a solution for you but I reached out to Rear View Safety about this and using 4 cameras requires the quad view camera, which does not come with the # RVS-770614-213. For this reason, in order to use a 4 camera setup you'd need a new monitor like the Rear View Safety Backup Monitor - 7" Color Screen - Quad View # RVS-6137Q; you can use your two old cameras with this monitor and add new ones with the Replacement Backup Camera for Rear View Safety HD Backup Camera System # RVS-770-HD.

The Wireless Observation System w/ LED Monitor - 7" Screen # 324-000002 is able to utilize multiple cameras but it isn't the isn't the best wireless system. For a multiple camera system, I recommend the Furrion RV Observation Camera System w/ Monitor and Bracket - Wireless - 5" Screen # FOS05TASF.
