Hi everybody, this is Andy with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at this eight foot long cable lock with lock loop for the SARIS trunk mounted bike racks. Now let's take a closer look at this together. This eight foot long stainless steel cable lock and included lock loop, lets you secure your bikes to your bike rack and to your vehicle. This cable can be used on HitTrax, trunk racks, stationary posts, anywhere you need to secure your bicycle. And this braided stainless steel cable is gonna be durable and it's gonna resist corrosion and it has this very nice vinyl coating, that's gonna prevent the cable from scratching up your bikes, your rack and your vehicle.
Now what's nice about this system is it does have this lock loop and that is going to secure your bikes to your vehicle. And you would just simply insert this pad into the gap between the hatch or trunk and the vehicle body. And then you would just run this cord out of the hatch or out of the trunk, and then you would run your cable through that loop. And then after you run your cable around your bikes and around your bike rack, making sure that it's all secure, you would just use this lock, and what I like about this lock is you can secure this on either side of the lock. So you can just put it in and your bikes are not only gonna be secured to the rack, but also because of this lock loop, it's gonna be secured to your vehicle as well.
Now this lock does have this really nice plastic cap. That's going to keep dust and moisture out of the lock body. And let me just show you how this works. The lock is very smooth and it comes right undone. And let me just again show you the demonstration of how this can be locked on either side, you are gonna get two keys, so you can either have a one as a spare or let me show you that again.
Or give it to the buddy that you're riding with or just keep it in a safe place in case you lose one of the keys. So you get two keys and I really liked that you can use either side to use that lock. So the plastic cap is gonna keep your lock clean. This is made in the USA and this does have a limited lifetime warranty. And this is gonna be a great cable lock, not only to secure your bikes to your rack, but also to secure your bikes to your vehicle, just another added step of protection and security for your bikes.

I am glad I found your website in lieu of Saris which was out of stock on this item. Moreover, I had searched other sites and saw what I considered to be replicas of this type of lock. Specifically, the yellow-colored lock which I felt was inviting for anyone who thought about approaching the bike rack. (The lock is right here) Delivery was faster than estimated and the device is as advertised and exactly what I needed.
