Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're taking a look at this Shocker 2 5/16 inch hitch ball with a 1 1/4 inch shank. Now, this hitch ball provides a connection point for your trailer, and it mounts with a 1 1/4 mounting hole, and the hardened steel alloy ball is strong and tough with a gross towing weight of 16,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 1,600 pounds. The ball is zinc plated to resist rust, and it fits all Shocker hitch bumper mount products that accept hitch balls, but it can also be used with other ball mounts that accept a 1 1/4 inch shank. Now, the built-in wrench flat makes it easy to hold the ball in place while tightening the nut, and let me just pull out my ruler here real quick. The ball shank length is sitting right at 2 3/4 inches long. As you can see here, the lock washer and nut are included.
Now, this is made in the USA, and if you're looking for a smaller hitch ball, and you're not needing the 2 5/16, we do have the two inch available from Shocker, you can find that on our website, item number SHK46ZR, whereas this is rated for 16,000 pounds towing capacity, that one will be rated for 12,000 pounds. That should conclude our look today. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
