Note: To ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs.
Leaf springs are an integral part of your trailer suspension system. The leaf springs provide the attachment points for your trailer's axle, suspending it from the frame of your trailer. Each spring flexes to absorb road shock as you travel, allowing the axle to move somewhat independently of the rest of your trailer. This helps to reduce wear and tear on the trailer and also ensures a smooth ride.
Slipper leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. The eye of this spring will attach to the front hanger with a suspension bolt. The slipper end of the spring will slide into the rear hanger. If you have a tandem- or triple-axle trailer, the slipper end will slide into the equalizer that connects multiple springs. The shape of the slipper end of a leaf spring may vary slightly due to differences among trailer manufacturers. Because of this, it's important to check your leaf spring's slipper end before purchasing a replacement spring.
To mount this spring, you will need hangers, a suspension bolt, and possibly a spring keeper bolt, depending on the design of the rear hanger. If you are simply replacing a spring, you may still have hangers welded onto your trailer, but it would be wise to replace the bolts as they can experience wear. It is also recommended that you replace the other leaf spring in your setup at the same time. Because springs can sag and elongate as they wear, this new spring may not exactly match the old one, and the alignment of your trailer could be affected.
If you are fabricating a trailer, you will need to purchase a hanger kit for installation. To determine the type of hanger kit that you need, you must know the specific type of leaf spring that you have, as well as your axle capacity. Depending on the hanger kits used with them, springs can be configured to work for single-, tandem- or triple-axle applications. Hangers and other suspension components can also be purchased separately if there isn't a complete kit that works for your setup.

Excellent spring quality for my custom motorcycle trailer. Arrived quickly. Glad I ordered a nylon bushing though. It didn't come with one for the open ended side and it should have.

Had these on for a year under a 20 foot pontoon. Easy install and exact match. Old springs were shot and dragging tires on the fenders. These have held up great even on some rough gravel roads.

Fortunately, one spring broke a leaf so I naturally replaced both. I could feel the difference and all the noises were gone. Just like plumbing, replace everything involved, bolts, washers, etc. I don't think I will ever have to replace them again.

Everything fit perfect. I had to replace the leaf springs on my boat trailer. I have a 24' fiberglass boat that is launched and retrieved in the salt water the original springs only lasted 7 years. The new springs are heavier duty and painted or coated with a better material. Over al very very pleased.

Worked perfectly. Glad I replaced them. Little did I know the main spring on one of the trailer's leaf pack had broken in half. The only thing keeping it together was the pressure from the rusting u bolts. Be prepared, I had to cut the bolt and u bolts off with a cut off wheel the old hardware was so rusted. If you have a doubt about your leaf springs, don't take a chance, replace them.

Mever has someones words rang so true! I had a leaf snap in the Siskious far away from civilization as we know it. 60 mph snap! The fender ped down and all I saw was smoke, and POP! Tire down. Now Im no machanic but I wasnt leavin my boat roadside out there. So I built a suspension with some construction wood in my truck. That wooden spring lasted 250 miles till I was home. Moral of my story, listen to this man. Replace that old fatigued steel!

Easy install and greatly improved how my car trailer handled. Full disclosure though... Someone had installed one eye-to-eye spring instead of a slipper spring on one of the axles on the left side of the trailer. Caused it to buck to the right of you hit a larger bump in the road. All nice n smooth now....

Bought 4 sets of 4 blade springs, spring u bolts, and a hitch coupler....blinked twice and Received order, lightning fast shipping. Highly competitive prices (the best I found anywhere), and outstanding quality merchandise. I did have a problem with the transporter (the shipping folks) ...they delivered a badly ripped up box and some of nuts and washers from the u bolts were missing. The SP-264275 length is 26-1/4 inches so the mid-point length of your existing spring is on par with that.
