etrailer provides quality products you can trust. Sumo springs made a big difference in the ride quality of my fifth wheel going down the road. It helped with chucking and takes some of the roughness out of the roads. Items in the cupboards are still a mess when we get to our destination, but less of a mess. Highly recommend!!1485207
I have had the Sumo Springs for over a year. At first I did not like them because they made the trailer ride too rough. I could tell after a trip because the inside storage items were all messed up. I read on etrailer web site that you could "cut" the Sumo Springs to fit, which is just what I did. I measured the distance from the bottom of the frame to the top of the Sumo Spring bracket, then cut the springs using a hack saw to fit. I cut approximately 2 to 3 inches off each spring. After doing that about 6 months ago I noticed a huge improvement. The 5th wheel does not sway side to side when going around corners or with crosswinds, it is much more stable now. I have not broken any more spring leaf's, and the ride is much improved because the inside storage items are not messed up at the end of the trip. I would recommend these for any trailer or 5th wheel.1495233

Installed on 2022 Jayco NorthPoint 310RLTS. Took them on their maiden voyage east on 138, south on 15 and 215 into Santee Lakes, Ca. Appears they have mitigated some of the rebound caused by springs, however don't expect it to eliminate all. There was still at times significant "bouncing" when transitioning bridge gaps or wonderful LA / San Bernardino Freeways.
Having had Timbren springs on my last truck and really enjoying the support, wondering now if I should have gone with them?
Bottom line, they WORK, just less than I would of expected. But then again, my expectations might have been too high.1504314
So far so good. Easy install. Used trailer jacks to give me the 1/2-1” of lift required to install these. Definitely feel the difference in stability/lean when going around corners and hitting bumps. Will be putting a few thousand miles on this summer and these will provide some peace of mind knowing the suspension system isn’t taking as bad of a beating. A little pricey for rubber springs especially since I need four, but sometimes peace of mind comes at a price.1301468
We have a Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel with the refridgerator on the rear wall, and we kept having issues with the fridge doors coming open during bumpy travel, so we installed the Sumo Springs based on a number of other reviews that indicated it would restrict the trailers bouncing. Total success, we have not had the doors open since the install, and generally feel less bouncing as we travel. The trailer also has less bounce when stationary, an added benefit.1472009

It took longer to thaw out my hands than it did for the actual installation, Once I put the 1st one on to figure out how many pucks I needed to add (All 2 for each) and pre-assembling the other 3 the rest was easy. I read several reviews that some went on crooked, there brackets that mount to the spring plate with numbers stamped in them one ending in a 1 and the other ending in a 2, the parts look so similar they can get mixed up by ignoring those numbers, I had to take one apart is how I know. Other than that the 30 degree temperature was the only other hard part!1486551

These SumoSprings have improved the rid of my 5th wheel tremendously! I am so happy I purchased these and had them installed!1478061

Service was excellent as usual. This product has not been installed on our 5th wheel yet but I have heard from numerous people that love them as an economical way to improve the factory suspension.1497579
by: Bob10/10/2022
I was disappointed with this product. The mounting brackets must overlap so therefore one has to be shorter than the other so that they mount straight up & down. The brackets with the ones I got were fine on one spring but on the other were both the same size so the spring sits very crooked and does not really do what it is supposed to do. I was just days away from starting a long trip so no time to deal with it and just left them as they were but removed them when I finally returned. Useless to me at this point.1445747

These springs were installed very easily. They make a big difference in pulling the 40' 5th wheel down a bumpy road. There is no more bouncy bouncy when a rough road is encountered. The RV after hitting the rough road does not bounce like it used to but instead, you can see these springs dampen the impact. These springs are a great purchase.1427859

So far so good. Sumo springs have reduced the movement of items in the camper. No more getting ready to catch items when you open a cupboard.1423334

Easy install. Notice a difference right away on rough roads and when making sharp turns the trailer does not sway as much as before.1412012

While I have not had the opportunity to pull my camper with the sumo springs installed, they appear to be well constructed and the installation was trouble free.1338422

installed on 5th wheel camper took 1st trip last week much smoother ride and also took the bounce out of camper when hitting bumps1399144
by: Ed09/20/2022
The install was straight forward. After about 4,000 miles I noticed one was loose. So now I check them regularly. My coach has decreased chucking and less sway in cross winds.1416774

We broke a set of leaf springs. Wanted something to ease the strain of potholes, etc. They have worked good so far. They have lessened the terrible bouncing on most roads.1368802

I have ordered a couple items from etrailer and always have a good experience. This item was packaged properly and easy to install. The instructions were easy to follow and there was extra hardware in case it was needed. I haven’t towed it with them installed yet, but I feel confident they will work as advertised.1093970
The portion of the # SS26MV SumoSprings that contact the axle is 4 inches in diameter, with the other end with the bracket being 3-1/2 inches in diameter. The spring is 5 inches tall.
How you relocate the gas line you speak of will depend on if it's a flexible or a rigid gas line. If it's flexible, you can remove the clamps that fasten the line to the trailer frame in a several foot length until you can gain enough flexibility to relocate the gas line. If it's a rigid line, you'll be best... view full answer...
The SumoSprings kit part # SS26MV would work great on your tandem axle trailer that has 5,200 lbs and cushioned equalizers. This will give you additional support and smooth out the ride quality as well.
This kit is also listed as TSS-107-47 which might be where some of the confusion comes from. view full answer...
If you are measuring for clearance on your Grand Design 28G Momentum for the install of the SumoSprings kit part # SS26MV you'd need to measure with the weight of the trailer on the ground. I wouldn't go so far as to load the trailer down as much as possible but how it would be most of the time. This kit comes with spacers so that you can make the spring sit taller so that you can acquire the desired 1/4 to 1/2 inch of preload or they can be cut down shorter as well. view full answer...
If you have the weight of your trailer on the suspension currently have have 4 inches between the spring plate and the frame you seemingly have a lot of weight on the suspension. That said, the # SS26MV will still work and will give you the much needed support your trailer suspension needs. view full answer...
If your 7K axles have overslung leaf springs (sits atop the axle), the SumoSprings TSS-107-47 which we sell as part # SS26MV would for well for you. The kit includes a line relocation kit in case there's a wiring harness, water or gas line in the way that would interfere with the installation.
The springs are rated for 5-8K, so they'll work great with your 7K axles. The kit includes spacers to achieve the desired 1/4-1/2 inch preload, and if they're a bit too tall, the springs can be... view full answer...
I have reached out to the manufacturer, SuperSprings, regarding a possible increase in ride height of the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Overslung # SS26MV.
They were unable to give me any type of exact number in regards to an increase in ride height; they said it likely won't give any amount of actual lift to the ride height. Essentially what the SumoSprings # SS26MV do is keep your rig at the same height when they engage due to... view full answer...
I looked up the specs of your 2021 Forest River Sabre 37FLL and it has axles that would fall within the capacity range of the SumoSprings part # SS26MV that you are looking at so this would work well. view full answer...

I reached out to the manufacturer, SuperSprings, who said a leaf spring plate (U-bolt plate) that is 4 inches in width with 3 inches in between bolts is absolutely compatible with the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Overslung # SS26MV.
So these will indeed fit your set up and give your trailer suspension a nice upgrade, absorbing road shock for an improved ride as you tow. view full answer...
If you are getting inside tire wear on the rear axle of your fifth wheel that would indicate that your trailer is sitting a little nose high and putting additional stress on the rear axle. If you look at your trailer when it's connected to your tow vehicle does it sit level? To lower the nose you could lower the head of your fifth wheel hitch or raise the pin box up in the mounting brackets of the frame. view full answer...
As long as your 2020 Jayco Eagle HT has an overslung axle with the leaf springs that sit atop the axle beam, the SumoSprings # SS26MV which are compatible with axles rated for 5000-8000 lbs would work perfectly for you.
The kit is a no-drill install, and you can see the installation instructions by using the provided link. view full answer...
You will be okay to use the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV on your trailer. SumoSprings recommends that there be between 1/4" and 1/2" of preload in the springs when installed. As the springs are 5" tall you will have 1" of preload which will put a little more preload into your springs.
This may raise your suspension slightly but will not prevent your suspension from operating correctly. view full answer...

I recommend using the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV on your 2021 Grand Design Momentum 395M. These springs are rated for use on axles with a capacity of 5,000-8,000lbs and are mounted below the leaf springs. Your Momentum has three 7,000lbs axles that are mounted below the leaf springs.
It is a good idea to verify that the springs will fit between your springs and frame properly. The SumoSprings are 5" tall and 4" in diameter. You will want to verify that they will fit and... view full answer...
It appears that your u-bolt plate on your 2021 Grand Design Reflection 31MB, will work with the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV. The plate itself including the bends does not appear to be larger than 3/4" nor does the width appear to be wider than 5-1/2". You will need to verify this, remember that width is going to be from left to right and not front to back. If you find that your plate is wider or thicker than these measurements please let me know and I will give you an alternative... view full answer...
