SumoSprings helper springs are great for pickup trucks. Towing or hauling a heavy load can cause sag as your factory suspension compresses under the weight of the load. This means that the rear axle is trying to support not only the extra load but also the truck's weight. And because there is less weight on your front axle, your front tires make less contact with the road, which causes problems with traction, steering, and braking. SumoSprings upgrade your factory suspension to level your vehicle, improve driving performance, and keep your ride comfortable.
The innovative 2-piece design of these Rebel springs allows for unlimited suspension travel. This means that there will be more movement in your suspension when you're unloaded or off-roading, which makes your ride smoother and more comfortable.
Each spring has 2 pieces. One piece attaches to the frame of your vehicle. And the other piece attaches to the axle, typically above your existing factory leaf spring. The pieces come together to provide support when you are towing or hauling a heavy load. When you're unloaded, they separate so that they don't restrict the movement of your suspension. The closed-cell urethane springs also act like a shock absorber to dampen road vibration.
SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy rear load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your front tires are making better contact with the road. A level ride means that you have improved driving control, ensures safe headlight aim, and helps to minimize sway. The springs also support your factory suspension, which helps prevent sagging and reduces bottoming out.
The springs work independently from one another to support each side of your vehicle. This action helps to reduce body roll when you make a sharp turn. This also helps compensate for an off-center load.
These microcellular urethane springs are tough. They resist abrasion, oil, salt, and UV rays that can more quickly wear out other springs, and they perform well in temperatures ranging from -25 F to 200 F (-33 C to 93 C).
SumoSprings expand and compress vertically with minimum expansion to the sides, so they won't be damaged by nearby mechanical parts, and they fit safely into tighter spots. And unlike air springs, SumoSprings require no maintenance or adjustment.
This kit comes with custom-fit brackets that are designed to easily bolt onto your vehicle.

Huge difference while towing 5th wheel. Keeps truck level and greatly improved stability. They work and easy install.
My ram deisel would squat an inch and a half in the back when i hooked my empty gooseneck to it. After installing Summo springs it only lowers 1 1/4 inches with a 7ton load. More stability with the truck level and wieght on steering axle. More lateral stability for the dips in the road. A must for any one hauling heavy with s 3/4 ton truck

The front Sumo Springs made a major difference in the stability of my Winnebago motorhome. It handles the bumps much better without major jarring of the passengers and dampens the side to side motion in turns and under crosswinds.

Sumo springs along with a steering stabizer, new shocks, and oversized sway bars seriously tightens the ride on older model RV with an f53 ford chasis. Long hauls become a lot less strenuous. I also put a memory foam and high density foam seat cushion on the driver's seat. We can travel all over with a lot less fatigue from fighting the wheel and pucker factor from blowing around the road. I took about 3 hours to unstall all 4 sumo springs.

Just Installed my Sumo Rear Springs. They went in real easy on my Dodge Ram 3500. The thing that took the most time on the install was jacking up the frame 3-4" to make enough space between the axle base and top of frame to slip in the entire lower and top sections of the Sumo Springs. Once I did that, I narrowed that space by letting the frame down a little but not all the way. Just enough to catch the receiving spring and leaving a half inch gap between the two sections. This allowed me to easily rachet the bottom u-clap without a problem and keep good alighment. I know I'm going to love this product once I hitch up. No more 2' drop in the rear end once hooking up to my 15k 5th wheel. These springs are stout but no so stout I'll beat the hell out of my body when hunting the rutted roads of the great North West. Thank you Jessie for your expertise and steering me toward the perfect application to meet my pulling and off-road needs.

We have a 2009 build F53 chassis on our 2010 Windsport 32A. I ordered these Sumo springs for the front axle. Hated how bad our coach dashboard would shake and rattle when going over bridge transitions, potholes, and concrete roadway section breaks. Took about an hour and were easy to install alone. Couldn't believe how much these helped the front axle. Worked so well I recently bought a set for the rear axle also. Those are a bit harder to install due to having to drill holes in frame rails to mount the upper bracket and glad I had friend to assist me. Would have only taken a little longer without the help but still easy to do by basic mechanic skills. With having both now we can certainly tell the difference and wished I had bought them sooner.

I bought the Summo Springs for the front and rear of my Thor ACE 30.3 because I could not find the bigger anti-sway bars for my F53 chassis. I was very disappointed with the way my MH handled. The Summo Springs did a great job of stabilizing my MH. 100% improvement. I would Highly recomend them and etrailer is very good to work with

I installed these this afternoon. The install was relatively easy but had to deal with e-brake line guides that had to be modified. The springs have very little gap between top and bottom (close to zero). Unlike the reviews I read before purchasing, the unloaded ride quality was extremely uncomfortable. I'll check with etrailer tomorrow for possible remedies (1" lift block on rear end to create gap?) If the unloaded ride can't be fixed I will try for a return and buy air springs. Stay tuned, the rating can only go up.

We have a Ram 3500, carrying a 5000 lb (plus), extremely tall truck camper. The floor sits ABOVE the side rails of the truck bed. I came to the RV dealer, and of course, they would not let me have it till they inspected the truck. It HAD to be a dually to handle street corners. The inspector saw the air bags that the truck dealer had installed and commented that "You will be a lot better off when you buy some Sumo Springs. After one trip cross country, I ordered Sumo Springs, and have not regretted it since. Stabilizes this super high load on corners, cross winds, and general driving. At night, truckers no longer flash their headlights at us. This is the way to go.

We recently installed the Roadmaster Sway Bars along with Sumo springs from trailer on our 2017 Winnebago Vista 31T which utilizes the Ford F53 chassis. As far as bang for the buck, these are probably the best improvement to your suspension that you can make. Of course there are additional upgrades (improved sway bars, front and rear, and a steering damper), but they are at least twice as much as the cost of a front and rear set of these. I was able to install the front ones myself, but the rear requires drilling the frame and/or removing the rear wheels, so, I had the rears installed by a shop.

Preston did a great job helping me spec in the correct springs for my 2016 Thor Hurricane 27K on a F53 chassis. Placed order with him over phone and received springs two day's later. I just installed them and took Motor home on a test drive around town on bumpy streets and what a difference it made. Drives more like a truck now and less like a boat. I also installed a steering stabilizer spring and did the cheap handling fix to the sway bars. Well worth the time and effort. I did notice that the etralier installation video shows the bottom brackets of the spring installed with the "U" down which is opposite the mfg's printed instructions. I did mine according to the printed instructions cause it seemed to make more sense. Probably no big deal either way.

Sumo Springs were probably the best improvement we ever did to our 1999 Bounder 34V. I don't remember how it was for the early years as we have mostly used it as of late, but it got pretty bad on turns, dips, uneven roads and trucks passing by. Sumos completely changed the handling of our RV. My only complaint might be the rears were difficult to install primarily because we have Chinese bits drilling into American steel though. I'm also hoping I don't have any issues with the rears because of the levelers stretching them out. So far after first year no problems.

Huge improvement in handling and reduced wind sway. Also reduces any rocking while parked and setup. Easy to follow instructions and no drill install took about 2 hours start to finish. Did not have to remove wheels to install on 2014 Fleetwood Bounder 35K. Will be purchasing the rear springs soon. Highly recommend this suspension upgrade!

My THOR motor coach has the Ford F-53 chassis. I rides like a truck. That should not be surprising as "it is a truck." I purchased and installed these Sumo Springs and even though it will never be "air bag" suspension, the Sumo Spring made a wonderful difference in improving the ride. I would recommend this add on to everyone and as I meet similar motor coaches on the road, I show them the Sumo Springs and I do recommend them.

Not nearly as good as the old 1 piece front SUMO SPRINGS. Two piece does not control front rock &roll, nor lean on curves; lost 50% of the control I had w/ the one piece.

I installed these on my 2008 Holiday Rambler Arista. This motorhome had a tendency to sway out of control with the slightest uneven road, truck passing, or wind over 20 mph.
