Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above your rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the leaf spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's-side or passenger's-side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because your vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi) because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

6,000-lb Capacity. These hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle to help stabilize and level your vehicle. They also provide a more comfortable ride by absorbing road shock and improving roll stability. Easy to install and use.I was very impressed with the easy installation and
the performance of the product.
I can easily put a 1 yard of top soil in my Ram 1500
and my truck carry it level , no problem. No more snag
In the rear. I also find towing a trailer much better. No worries about blowing air bags, this product is maintenance free. Love it, it simple and it works great. Highly recommend
I'm glad I got these for my truck. I have had a couple of heavy loads, about 150 pounds over the truck limit and the rear was more stable instead of sagging like it did before the replacement of the Timber Rear Suspension Enhancement System. The instruction to remove and install were great! Very easy to do.
Wow!!! So simple to install. I didn't have a lift, so used a floor jack under the hitch base to lift the bed up. The factory ones came out nice and easy. The new ones went on nice and easy too. I used a little bit of silicon grease, and they popped right in. I have about a 1-2 inch clearance with no loaf. Towing my rv trailer should be much smoother now.
What a great difference these made in how our trailer tows. I was looking at air bags, air adjustable shocks, and other ways to beef up the suspension on our truck when we are towing. It took me about a half hour to install them and it's like driving a different truck now with a load. No air or air lines to worry about. With the trailer connected (4850 pounds unloaded) it does not float and the sway is almost non- existent now. When the truck is empty I can tell they are there when I go over a good size bump, it is stiffer than it used to be, but it is't a problem as far as I'm concerned. Excellent product, easy to install, and a low cost, simple solution to our towing problems.
These work great for price and simplicity. The only thing is does make the pickup have a little rougher ride but not enough to really notice unless you are the primary driver. I loaded 4 ton on a dump trailer and the pickup road 100% better and level. I drive a 2015 Ram eco-diesel 1500. I would recommend these in an instant.
Keeps my truck leveled, improves pulling angle and trailer tracking. Amazing simplicity and it's functionality.
Very easy installation. Took less than an hour to get all the tools ready, remove the old ones, install the Timbrens and put all the tools away. Made a huge difference with my RAM 1500 Classic Regular Cab towing my 21 foot, 4500 pound travel trailer. No more Sagging!!!
Simple installation with a chess to a great video to follow.
Awesome product! Really gave me the control and support my truck for pulling my 7x12 dual axel trailer. There was very little squat, it was a bit harsh on the bumps, but manageable. I would definitely recommend and buy again.
Ordered the Timbren SES for my 2020 Ram 1500 specifically to tow my travel trailer which has a tongue weight around 800 lbs. First the good: there was minimal sag when hooking up my trailer to my tow vehicle and the Timbrens, along with my weight distribution hitch, did a great job in eliminating trailer sway. Now for the bad. The ride quality on bumpy roads, even concrete freeways with expansion joints, was totally unacceptable. Every bump in the road was transmitted to the cab in a violent and bouncy manner. The truck rode like it had no suspension. I removed the Timbrens after my first tow (600 miles under various road conditions) and will never reinstall them. I contacted etrailer but they refused to offer a refund since the Timbrens had been used. I will be contacting Timbren’s customer service department to see if they can assist me with this problem.
I might rate them higher but I haven't installed them yet, get back to me in 6 months after I put them to work.
Were very easy to put on. I hooked up my three horse gooseneck trailer and loaded with three horses and a pony. It took away the squat and was a pleasure to drive without the trailer. Couldn't tell I had them on. Lots cheaper than air bags. Plus no maintenance or airing them up and letting them back down.
Works well especially handling the tongue weight of a travel trailer may someday Install air suspenders.
I put a set of these on my 2019 Ram and it really helped when I hooked up our RV trailer. So I ordered a set for my new 2022 Ram which has essentially the same suspension. With about 800 lbs. of tongue weight these do help level the rear end. And I think it is a simpler solution than airbags.
FYI, I'm 71 years old and after watching a few informative [online] videos, I did the installation of the Timbren Rear Suspension System (TDR1500DS) myself, on a Saturday afternoon. After attaching my RV trailer to my 2018 RAM 1500 the rear squat was noticeably gone and the truck was diffidently more level, which makes for a safer and better handling tow vehicle.
Easy install, great ride with a load.
The Timbren product works as advertised, and do their job well. Too stiff for my purpose, suggest that everyone heed the manufacturer's clear note that this specific system is for continuous heavy loads.
Easy install, test drive went well. Looks like the fix that was needed!
Did exactly what I wanted, the old bump stops just almost fell out when I touched them. Some soapy water and a couple of wiggles and these were in. I tow a a big boat for long distance fairly often and just wanted to firm up the rear-end a bit. The big surprise is how much better the RAM corners with these installed. I highly recommend as of now, need to go fishing and see if they make me happy for long distances.
These are great. The install was just as easy as stated. Two points to keep in mind. Use the soapy water trick and the 2x4 pieces. I was able to install in less than 15 minutes. I connected my 34' travel trailer and there was only about 1 inch of squish versus the 6 inches with the old ones. I am looking forward to our next camping trip. I am towing with a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic (Warlock). Thank you for a great product.
A little rougher then stock on my 2019 Ram 1500 but what would you expect? Seems to make a difference when hauling my camper which is what I was looking for.
I first started by jacking up the bed about 4" then I got under it yanked out the small factory ones, so easy. Then put some silicone on the new ones, wiggled them in place and just to make sure they were seated properly I added couple pieces of wood under them and let the jack down. Took it for a test drive over a really bad bumpier road and to my amazment I was completely satisfied .got back home and looked under it and their about a 1/2" of clearance . Still after the test drive I'm satisfied doing this prep job before I pick up my new 5th wheel . Thanks
great product, truck does not squat as much when trailer is attached
Very happy with the product. Showed up on time and was a breeze to install. The truck rides level with the trailer attached and I don't notice them when I'm unloaded. Etrailer came through for me.
Installed easy in about 15 minutes. Popped the stock bump cushions out by hand and followed the installation instructions. Going to be on the road with my trailer soon and am looking forward to the additional support for my suspension.
