Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.
This easy-to-use, hitch-mounted rack lets you transport 2 bikes on the back of your vehicle. It has fold-up anti-sway cradles and ratcheting straps that make it easy to load and unload your bikes. The cradles are set 7" apart, so there's enough space between your bikes to prevent them from becoming tangled on the rack. HitchSwitch levers let you tilt the rack away from your vehicle for access to your rear cargo area and fold the arms down when not in use.
Folding Dual Arms with HitchSwitch Lever
The Camber has dual arms that provide your bikes with excellent support and ground clearance during transport.
The upper HitchSwitch lever lets you fold the arms down when not in use.
HideAway Anti-Sway Cradles
The Camber has HideAway anti-sway cradles that secure each bike twice along the top tube and once along the seat post or downtube. This reduces rocking to help eliminate bike-to-bike and bike-to-vehicle contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the arms to accommodate your bikes' frames. Each cradle is set 7" apart on the arms, so there is more space between your bikes when compared with many other hanging-style racks. The added space helps prevent your bikes from becoming tangled on the rack.
The cradles have grooves on the surface that prevent your brake and shifter cables from getting pinched.
Durable, dual-molded ratchet straps hold your bikes firmly in place on the cradles. You can remove the lower straps and fold the cradles up against the arms to make it easier to slide your bikes onto the rack.
Tilting Rack with HitchSwitch Lever
The rack tilts for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Just pull up on the HitchSwitch lever at the base of the rack, and lower the rack into position. When you're ready to go, lift the rack up until it snaps into place with an audible click.
The HitchSwitch lever is located right behind the base of the mast. This makes it easy to reach with one hand and steady the mast with the other.
Easy Installation
The Camber easily installs in your hitch with the included threaded hitch pin. Just slide the shank into your receiver, insert the hitch pin, and then tighten it down with the included tool. The pin also works as an anti-wobble device to eliminate sway and rattle in the receiver.
Hitch Compatibility
The rack includes a sleeve that slides over the 1-1/4" shank to convert the rack for use with 2" hitch receivers. The sleeve attaches to the shank with a single screw and can be installed or removed in seconds.

Still working strong! I have had no issues, big or small with bike rack. Easy load and unload. Bikes are secure whether taking short or long trips. No problem with rubber straps. Still hold bikes securely. Most importantly, rack doesn’t obscure my sight lines.

Not happy with it yet. hard to secure a full suspension mountain bike. Trying a different way to place my bike on the rack.

Jenny N - 04/29/2022I believe that it would be beneficial to look at using a bike adapter bar with the bike. The bike adapter bar connects from under the handle bar to under the bike seat. As in the picture below. If you can measure that distance then I can see which adapter bar would work best for you.

I haver transported my 2 bikes hundreds of miles with this Thule carrier with no problems or worries. Best feature is the two release mechanisms: One lowers the bike support arm into a vertical position for compactness; the other lowers the entire carrier (with or without a bike attached) so that the tailgate of your vehicle can be opened without hitting the rack. The latches work, feel, and sound solid. So much easier than the steel pins I had to remove / reinsert on my old rack. Only minor issue is the securing strap that is supposed to wrap around the down tube of your bike frame; for my bikes this strap is too far away from the down tube to be of much utility. But the 2 main straps that secure the bike to the carrier via the top (horizontal) tube (or a bike frame adapter like Hollywood Racks if you are using one) work just fine. Heavy steel construction, beautifully welded and assembled.

I didn't realize this thing is really built well, it's heavy and all materal is thick and sturdy. My only concern is my reciever is 2 1/8th inch square, the filler is exactly 2 inch which does leave some up and down movement. I suppose I could shim it, but not sure if that will stay. Otherwise this is a built like battleship bike rack for transporting bikes.

I love this bike rack. I had no problem attaching it to the hitch on my 2018 Honda CRV. The HitchSwitch levers make it easy to to bring down the bike rack to get to the cargo area. Strong and solid Thule bike rack.

This has been a great product and a huge upgrade over our old trunk-mount bike rack.
It holds our bikes super steady even when we're driving over gravel or dirt roads. I never have had a problem getting the bikes on or off the rack, and although I have heard that some people have trouble with the fasteners, I've never had a problem with ours.
The only minor issue I have had is that the bolt attaching the rack to the trailer hitch gradually loosens slightly after extensive use with 3 or 4 bikes. Every ten trips or so I re-tighten it a little.

- Recommended Tilting 2 Bike Rack for Jeep LibertyThule makes a great product that would serve you well. This being said, for the money, I believe that the Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058 would be a great choice for you. This rack features the anti-sway cradles. The upright portion of the rack tilts for access to the rear of the vehicle (the bikes must be removed before tilting). The arms that the bikes hang from also fold down for easier storage.

- Is Front To Back Movement to be Expected on the Thule Roadway # TH9058?There will be some play front to back in the Thule Camber rack # TH9058. It sounds like you are getting the normal amount especially if it's only about 1/4 an inch. I've linked a video demonstration of this rack going through our test course for you to see the slight play to compare it to yours. The reason for the movement is the hinge system. There is a small amount of play there and that translates into a movement of the rack.
