Products were as advertised, worked well and installation went as planned. Accomplished task - moved under hung leaf springs to over axle (tandem drop) on older horse trailer, to regain bumper clearance - new truck sits higher than old, also allowed extended goose neck to eliminate tail gate damage, while leveling trailer (nose no longer stuck in air). I would purchase again without hesitation.

Works as expected, Im happy with the product and results- would purchase again if I have a trailer in the future that needs a lift.
James K - 07/29/2021

Worked well for the 6000# axle that I used this on. Fit the existing Lippert springs.

Perfect fit as described! Uploaded picture for proof. So far i couldent be happier with, great prices and fast shiping. I haven't had an issue with anything so i have no opinion as far as customer service goes. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

There was a mix up between original estimated delivery before and after purchase. Sent an email regarding the matter, the team responded quickly and got my products out the next day.

The suspension parts were exactly what I needed. Always a pleasure to do business with etrailer.

They fit and worked as planned.

Purchased 4 of them welded them on my axles and they are still performing excellently.

Just as advertised

Exactly as advertised.

Missing 1 when shipped.

I will definitely have our customer service team reach out to you to have the missing spring seat sent out.

I replaced my leaf springs, drums, brakes and added the Dexter E-Z Suspension kit to my Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel trailer last year. This was my first time working with etrailer and I can’t say enough about how well it all went from the ordering to the install.
Tammie P did a amazing job with knowing what parts would work best on my trailer. Tammie also gave me updates on my deliveries that I appreciated. I had a trip planned short after I received my parts. So having someone at their end checking on arrival dates helped. In the future I will definitely use etrailer for all my trailer needs. Thanks again for all the help! Great Team....

Just what I needed

Great. Thanks.

Great service and delivery, thank you i look foward to doing more business

Just right

Just as expected. I’m using them to make saddles for my hydraulic jacks. These should prevent any point loading when jacking under the axle

Great product and great company to work with. I ordered regular shipping and they upgraded me to 3 day shipping an no charge. Very satisfied with the product and company.

I installed a set of these spring mount brackets one year ago and I am glad I purchased it from etrailer. I purchased it on line just to make sure it would work on the 1964 axle that I was going to weld it to in order to complete the install of a new set of springs that I also purchased from etrailer. Everything fit perfectly and etrailer is now my go to for all my trailer needs. George J. was very professional and knew the product(s) would work. And it did!

Thank you George and etrailer.

Worked well, had a professional weld them on.

Fit perfect and was exactly what I needed. Thank you

The seats were just what I needed Last year I moved the trailer
springs from the bottom of the axel to the top when I did I had
to turn the axel end to end it caused the trailer to wear tires out .
brakes to wear out .I am turning axel back and welding new seats
leaving hubs running right. Back to factory only on top of axel.

Thank You

l am very satisfied with the product.

I am using two second hand axles for my trailer and the spring seats were in the wrong place. They were hard to find because I didn't know what to call them, but I was really grateful they were available. They will complete the installation of the axles and are sturdy and cut perfectly.

I recently started an new business and have purchased multiple products from over the last couple of months. I have been very happy with the ease of ordering and product quality. I initially ordered from several suppliers and have now starter ordering from only. They have the best pricing on the parts I purchase and am very happy with them!

Very happy with product and seller. Product worked exactly as it was designed to work.

  • How to Pick Out Spring Seats for an Axle that is Getting Moved Flipped
To determine the correct spring seat will depend on the axle diameter and capacity. For example the Spring Seat part # TRSS300 that you referenced is designed for 3 inch axles with 5,200-7,000 lb capacities. If you need a different spring seat check out the link I attached that will show you all of the spring seats we offer.

The Dimensions of the Axle Spring Seat 3 inch Round, item # TRSS300, are 1-7/8 inches wide by 4 inches long. The radius, where the 3 inch axle sits, is on center and the 1/2 inch hole is centered in the part.

  • What is a Trailer Spring Seat
A leaf spring seat, or perch as it sometimes called, is the mount that is welded to the axle where the trailer's leaf springs sit on top of or below the axle. An example of one is part # TRSS300. I've attached a picture that points out the spring seat on a trailer axle.

  • Available 94-Inch Long Axles and Matching 3-Inch Diameter Spring Seats
We do offer 7K-rated beam axles in the 94-inch hub-face-to-hub-face length you mention, shown on the linked page, and these have their spring seats spaced apart on center at either a 78-1/4-inch or 79-inch dimension. Since we do not produce these axles ourselves we cannot make one for you with different spacing but you can have a local trailer/welding shop install new spring seats at the specific 70-inch spacing you need. All of our axles that have an 89-inch hub face spacing (see diagram, please) also have a spring center spacing of 74-inches. None of our axles has a 76-inch spring center spacing; the nearest ones are either 74 or 78-1/4-inches apart. But we can still help you with a new axle. You can refer to the linked page to see all of our axles. First select the weight rating of the axle you need. Our 89-inch axles such as # 8327830 are rated for up to 6K. • Can Axle Be Ordered with Loose Spring Seat Perches?
The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 89" Long - 6,000 lbs # 8327830 comes with the spring seats (perches) welded in place and they cannot be ordered without them attached. However, you can add spring seats if you need them in a location other than the 74 inches on center. You would use the Spring Seat for Typical 5,200-lb to 7,200-lb, Round Trailer Axles with 3" Diameter # TRSS300 and you'd need to weld them in place and then prime and paint them for corrosion resistance....

  • Can the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam Part # 8327830 Be Used with a Top Mounted Leaf Spring
In order to use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam part # 8327830 with leaf springs mounted on top you would need to weld on new spring seats with part # TRSS300. The reason for this is that the existing spring seats are installed for use with a leaf spring mounted under the axle. Most think you can simply rotate the axle to move the spring seats on top but this cannot be done as the axle has a slight bend to help dissipate the weight when loaded.

  • Can Spring Seats on Dexter Replacement 5200LB Axle Be Installed Atop the Axle Rather Than Underneath
You certainly can install a replacement 5.2K axle like # 6340624 by using new spring seats atop the axle. I'd recommend using part # TRSS300 but it's recommended that they at least be tacked into place so they stay put.

  • Does Dexter 6,000 Pound Axle Come with Spring Seats Welded on Top of Axle

  • Replacement 5,200 Axle for 2015 Keystone Cougar Trailer
The best option we have for a trailer with damaged spindle threads is a new axle beam as there isn't any sort of repair kit, the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam part # 8327816 matches what you need although you'd have to move the spring seats part # TRSS300 in a few inches to match what you have now.

  • Replacing Lippert 5,200 lb Axle with Dexter 5,200 lb Axle 86.5 Inches Hub Face to Hub Face
The Lippert 5,200 lb axle you have has a hub face to hub face of 86.5 inches which is identical to the Dexter # 8327816 you referenced, however the 68.5 inch spring seats of your Lippert axle are not identical to the 71.5 inch spring centers of the Dexter axle. They do use the same spindles so the bearings and grease seal will all match. You would simply need to weld spring seats onto the axle at the 68.5 inch on center locations using # TRSS300.

  • Could Spring Seat of Dexter Axle be Moved to Fit New Application
The Dexter axle part # 8327820 could only fit your trailer if you installed new spring seats on it since it has spring seat centers at 74 inches and your trailer has them at 71.5. For new spring seats you'd want the # TRSS300 welded at the correct distance. Aside from that the overall length and capacity would be fine for your trailer.

  • Replacement 5,200 lb Axle That is 86-1/2 Inches From Hub Face to Hub Face
While we have an option for you, there isn't a 5,200 lb axle we offer that measures both 86-1/2 inches hub face to hub face and 68-1/2 inches spring center to spring center. So what you can do is get an axle with an 86-1/2 inch hub face measurement and weld on new spring seats at the 68-1/2 inch measurement you need. • Can 5,200 lb Axles be Replaced With 7,000 lb Axles
I appreciate the info, and while we can get you a higher capacity axle, a 7,000 lb axle can't replace a 5,200 lb axle because the hub-face to hub-face measurement on 7k axles is too long, coming in at 94 inches at the least. But what we can do instead is get you a 6,000 lb axle with the same hub-face to hub-face measurement that will also allow you to use the same hub and drum. You will simply need to have new spring seats welded on at your current 68-1/2 inch measurement; what you can...

For a replacement axle I recommend the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop E-Z Lube Spindles - 95" Long - 7,000 lbs # 8327860. I'm assuming by "4 inch" you meant a 4" drop since 7k axles have a diameter of 3". This axle will be the same as your current axle with the exception of the spring-center-to-spring-center length which is 79-1/4". The spring center measurement not matching up is fairly common but there is a solution. You will need to have the spring seats cut off of the axle...

I just heard back from Dexter and they gave me some information on your axle. I have a solution for you and it is very close to your specifications but you will need to have the spring seats moved. The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop E-Z Lube Spindles - 95" Long - 7,000 lbs item # 8327860 axle you were looking at is what Dexter recommended. There are no available axles with a 77" spring seat. These have a 79-1/4" spring seat and the replacements you will need are Item # TRSS300.

  • Do You Carry a 96" Hub Face To Hub Face Axle?
Currently a 95" hub face to hub face Axle # 8327860 is the widest we carry. This particular axle has a 79-1/4" spring seat measurement that can be moved by cutting off the seats and having new Seats # TRSS300 welded on. Depending on the age of your trailer and the manufacturer there may be a tag with the axle information that I can confirm the manufacturer dimensions and weight capacity to ensure you get the correct replacement.

For a 3-inch round axle rated between 5200- and 7200-lbs use part # TRSS300; for a 2-3/8-inch diameter 3500-lb axle use part # TRSS238; for a 1-3/4-inch diameter 2000-lb round axle use part # TRSS175. They sure can! What you will need to do is replace the spring seats that are currently welded on the axle in question, and have a qualified welder weld them in the correct location to match your trailer. Now the correct spring seats will be dependent on the diameter of your axle tube. The most common sizes are the 1-3/4" # TRSS175 which is common for 2000lb axles, the 2-3/8" # TRSS238 which is common for 3500lb axles, or the 3" # TRSS300 which are common for 5200-7000lb axles. Correct, you will need to have a spring set installed on the axle tube to hold the leaf springs in place and prevent them from sliding back and forth.
