Tire Sensor Installation

Tire sensor Install Diagram

  1. Screw the anti-theft hex nut onto your tire's valve stem threads until it bottoms out.
  2. Screw the sensor onto the valve stem. Tighten the sensor until the air stops leaking and the sensor bottoms out on the valve stem. Give it a slight twist to seat the sensor while being careful not to over-tighten.
  3. Use the included wrench to tighten the hex nut counterclockwise until it is snug against the sensor.
  4. Screw the tire's valve cap onto the sensor.

Saw these on YouTube and knew the necessity as my brother, a long-haul truck driver and 5th wheel RVer, says TPMS is a MUST. I have 6 wheels on my 5th wheel and just got 6 new Michelins on the pickup. I now have my pickup, 5th wheel, flatbed, and all of their spare tires monitored. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing when going across Wyoming at 80mph in 100 degree heat.
(Update) 70K miles in 8 months and this TPMS system is spot on. Thank you to for getting the correct sensors for my system in a fast and efficient manner. Great service at a great price. Very happy with my purchase.

Added 4 more sensors to our existing system and programmed them as a second trailer. 1000mi road trip next week, the system has saved us on our 5th wheel, and it will be nice to have piece of mind pulling our car trailer as well.

These are extras. I have been using these for several years. They work great.I only had one false alarm. Rebooted recieverand all was well.

All is working well.

Installation, and configuration is straightforward. I did have one sensor leak, etrailer replaced it immediately. So far I'm happy with them.

Would not be without a TPMS on my RV. This system has worked flawlessly. As a reminder, make sure you replace the rubber valve stems in your wheels with metal ones before installing these sensors.

The sensors provide valuable temperature and pressure information to the dash mounted display in a five second alternating pattern. That makes it easy to read the information without distraction.

Ordered these replacement sending units for the system on my motorhome. One of the existing senders went bad so now I have one as backup. Sending units had to be of the same brand of TST TPMS. Replacement was quick and easy although the locking system has changed.

Perfect replacement for a lost sensor, and now I have an extra for the Spare.

I had to buy four TST 507 flow through TPMS sensors for my Jeep that I am towing behind my RV... I have used this product (for going on 5 years now) with three different RVs and would highly, highly recommend them. They work they do what they're supposed to do and they protect you What else do you need to know.. buy them!!

Very Prompt with order. Thank You

They work great, gives tire pressure and temp. I have had the TST system for about 6 years now and the only reason I needed to replace these were due to the tire company putting them on too tight and broke them.

Worked as advertised

Performs as advertised. Was what I was looking for. Can't have enough information about my rig's condition when I'm rolling down the road. Cheers!

The TPMS for TST is overall very good. I have had the primary system for 5-6 years and it has always preformed well. However in the past year I have had 3 sensors quit working. I changed the batteries, moved them to different tire locations, even reprogramed them. The only thing that worked is replacing them. At $50 each its expensive. That makes my replacement half of all sensors on the RV. 6 in total and replaced 3. I am not unhappy but more irritated.
I also started with the black screen and upgraded to the color screen when it came out. I have sense gone back to the black screen. I cannot see the numbers being reported. I see that there is now a shield for the screen glare so I have ordered that from the company. So we shall see. Would I buy this system again? Probably not as I think the technology has improved and I am not sure where TST measures in.

TST TPMS Flow Through Tire Sensors in my opinion are the best in the market place especially for rear duels on your coach. Easy to setup and maintain tire pressures. I have had this setup for a year. The TST display is second to none!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The TST tire sensors have saved our bacon on two separate occasions when we had a tire fail on our travel trailer. The big thing to remember for this product is the need for METAL valve stems. A definite must have piece of kit for on the road safety.

Adding a TPMS to all eight of our wheels was the best investment we've made in years. Twice it has alerted us to a concern that would have become an issue had we not paid attention. As we prepare to head out for a couple of months on the great open road once again, we decided it was "worth it" to run with a couple of spares in stock (since one of sensors has been a little slow to show up on the monitor and we're beyond warranty).

super fast these sensors have saved a few fenders!!

One of the sets did not have the packet in it. (Lock nut and washers). (The other one had everything). Can you please send the kit so I can make sure they are locked on the tires. Thank you.

Great product, i keep these on my travel trailer& pull vehicle. they keep me informed on what my tires are doing. perfect for any type RV.

Great system! I would recommend this to anyone who is towing a RV or trailer. It does a great job monitoring pressure as well as tire temperature. Should not be towing without monitoring your tires pressure and temperature. A happy user!

The only Tire monitor system to buy! we have them on our triple axle DVR Santa Fe and our M102 Freightliner tow vehicle.

Easy to place order and arrived on date that was stated

Like the new sensor!. Had to replace an older (set screw) model that got damaged. New sensor coded up first try, installed easy. Very much appreciate the new locking nut versus the set screw. To be honest I never was able to tighten the old style set screws on all 6 wheels anyway. The locking nut and tool give an added sense of security. Just installed today, so no long term assessment yet.

As usual excellent service and turn time by etrailer!

They're nice if you have metal stems. I had one go bad that was replaced. Make sure and get the repeater if you have any length to your rig.

  • Valve Stem Flow Through Sensors for Tire Pressure Management System
The Flow Through Tire Sensors for TST TPMS - Qty 2 # TST-507-FT-S2 comes with the nut that fits on the valve stem behind the sensor. This nut and the special wrench will allow you to tighten that nut to the sensor from the back to secure it to your valve stem for increased security. You are correct that the nut and wrench are on the input side of the sensor and not the output so I'll have that photo removed as it is incorrect.

  • Recommended TPMS for Motorhome and Tow Vehicle
The TST TPMS for RVs part # TST-507-FT-6-C is what I recommend using to monitor the tire pressures on both the motorhome and towed vehicle. This system uses the flow-through sensors which will be best because motorhomes usually have valve stem extenders which interfere with the other cap-style sensors. The monitor is powered via a cigarette lighter plug which could be modified to wire directly to the battery but this is not something I can recommend. The system will show the psi inside...

  • Replacing Damaged or Lost Sensor on TST TPMS TST-507-FT-6-C
According to my contact at TST, there are two scenarios that would indicate a sensor failure on your TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-6-C. If the battery is dead or sensor communication is interrupted temporarily, lines or dashes "---" are displayed for that sensor on the monitor. Since the battery life on the system can be anywhere from 12 to 18 months, this is unlikely. Also, the system automatically refreshes to display new information every 5 minutes, so the dashes would not be displayed for...

  • Recommended TPMS for 18 Wheeler
The TPMS I recommend for an 18 wheeler is the TST TPMS for RVs part # TST-507-FT-6-C because it has a range extender and uses flow-through sensors which are both things you will need. The range extender will be needed as 18 wheels are generally pretty long in overall length and the flow-through sensors are needed because most dual tire applications use valve stem extenders and you'll need to install the sensor between the wheel and extender in order to get the proper reading. The great thing about adding sensors to this system and not using your vehicle's monitor, is that you can monitor everything on one monitor, as opposed to two.
