It’s been one year (1/4/23) since I purchased and installed these products on my 1994 Airstream Trailer. The complete kit was more than adequate for my job given that the trailer had a few other areas requiring attention or needing the self-leveling sealer. I waited for the ideal conditions (weather, temperature, and time of day) before applying the parts and sealing a few other external components. We’ve had several rain events and temperature swings and these products have held up very well. The trailer serves more as an office now which increases the importance for not having leaks!

This was a great choice to select these projects and particularly, from this vendor. They were very responsive and quick to get the order out.

Thanks to George and his Team!
Happy New Year 2024

by:

The product seems extremely flimsy and poor quality. One corner of the metal frame was badly bent and wrinkled . It was not shipping damage as there was no damage to the carton . The damage have been obvious to the person who packed it.

The hatch material is very thin and weak and I expect will be broke. With the first hail stone.

Oh man, that looks awful! We definitely should have caught that one before it went out the door. Lets get you a replacement one as soon as possible. I will email you the return information.

by:

@Taylor Ventline makes a nice product. We're glad the # V2092SP-25 trailer roof vent is working well for you!

by:

The vent went in very easily. took about 70 min. to remove old damaged one and replace with this vent. however I reused my old interior trim. this product came with 1 7/8 INCH trim. Needed 5+ inch deep Trim. thus the three star rating

You can switch out the ceiling garnish for a taller one like with part # VA0445-37 which is 5.31 inches tall. It can be trimmed down if it is too tall.

by:

Perfect replacement. Easy installation.

by:

I was expecting a larger trim, probably should have read the description better.

by:

Perfect replacement for the original equipment. Pretty easy to install. Hopefully it will hold up to the next hail storm.

by:

Wasn't too bad to install. Everything worked as stated. I may have gone a little crazy with the self leveling sealant, but that's me.

by:

Cover looks like it is good, it came smashed in the corner of the plastic top, I was able to push it back up but it left stress marks around it now. I have to install it because I am going on a trip and need the vent hole covered

by:

This is a quality product and easy to install. Only thing better than the product was the customer service.

by:

I have received all my orders with no problems. Thanks!

by:

Got my vent today as you said I would. No damages. It is exactly what I ordered and needed. Thanks alot folks. Ill be ordering again on the future.

by:

great product thanks

by:

nice unit worked good.

by:

Perfect fit! Easy to install. No problems with ordering or shipping. Happy Customer!!

by:

Exactly as described fits perfectly

by:

This vent fit my need perfectly to replace a damaged, rusty and irreparable one in my 50 year old newly purchased camper. Etrailer.com was easy to find and order and they were very prompt with my order. The vent was easy to install and once I sealed it according to their instructions and with additional roof work being completed I have no more roof leaks! I also have a good looking, easy to use vent for my camper. I will be doing more business with this company in the future as I tackle other repairs on my camper. Thanks etrailer.com!

by:

This was an exact match with my existing, but badly hail-damaged roof vents. Even the pre-drilled screw holes on the exterior flange perfectly matched the existing screw holes in the roof. The old vents were solidly caulked and sealed to the metal roof, so removal was a bear! Lacquer Thinner worked great to remove all traces of the old sealing tape from the roof. On the bathroom vent, I found that the interior trim piece vertical flange was too long and wouldn't seal against the ceiling, possibly due to some variation on how the ceiling/roof was constructed. I used a sanding disc, then a very sharp razor knife to remove about 3/8" of material to finish the installation.

by:

Basic Ventline roof vents with screen and hand crank and a great price.

I have purchased these product previously and never had any problems with either. Thanks

Nice vent. Comes complete with the lower frame

Excellent product and great instructional video by etrailer.com. Determine if you will need a Ceiling Garnish for Ventline Roof Vent (Item # VA0445-28 or similar) for your RV and order it at the same time.

by:

It has been a year since we changed out our vent and it is performing perfectly. We used the roof vent installation kit with the roof vent. Everything was simple to do.

by:

We just became the proud owners of a 61 Fan and had to replace the dome vent - after answering questions about what was the best fit from etrailer, we ordered their recommended replacement. Perfect fit all the way around and so easy to install! Great customer support and superfast shipping! Great job!!

by:

A bit better constructed than the roof vent I purchased this one to replace. One minor point however: one of the screws on the inside was missing. However, my old broken vent has exactly the same screw in place, so I've already got one. One edge of the metal fitting that lies on top of the van roof was slightly bent. Don't know if that happened in transit or no. However, I can easily bend the crimp out myself. Otherwise, a fine van vent to put on top of my old Ford Econoline.

by:

etrailer not only has top of the line products, but George is absolutely amazing with communication! It is nice for a change to be updated if your product is in stock, or coming from the factory. George also contacted me when my item shipped and he even followed up to make sure everything was to my liking. I have great respect for your company and will continue to buy supplies and parts for all my trailers from etrailer. This is how a company is meant to be run!
Great Job George!

  • Removing Vent Screen To Replace or Repair Vent Parts in Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent
The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - White - Birch Trim # V2092SP-25 can be fixed easily. You will start by removing the trim/garnish from the inside of your trailer. Then you will remove the screw from the black handle on the manual lift to remove the knob and also any other screws holding the screen in place. Then you will be able to remove the screen and replace the screw that fell out of your crank assembly. I've attached a couple videos to assist.

  • Installation Kit Needed For Installing The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent
To install your Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-25 you'll definitely want the Roof Vent Installation Kit - Sealant, Butyl Tape, Screws # 344270KITW to go along with it. Having installed a vent before my one tip is to not be afraid to load up the sides with the self-leveling sealant. If you start at the base/on top of the RV and keep laying over top around the vent it will all settle down for a great water tight seal.

Both the Ventline Ventadome Roof Vents you mentioned in your question, the White # V2092SP-25 and the Smoke # V2119-603-00 have translucent covers, which will allow for some light to shine through into your RV. The smoke color Roof Vent will act more as a heavily tinted window, so probably won't be quite as bright as the White Roof Vent when the sun is shinning. If you wanted to just replace the vent lid I'd need to see a picture of the old damaged lid and/or the hinge of the assembly to see if we have anything for it. Otherwise a standard RV roof vent could fit what you have but at worst you may have to slightly open up the hole. Standard roof vents like the Ventline Ventadome part # V2092SP-25 require a 14 inch by 14 inch rough cut square hole so you may just have to open up the hole a bit.
