The heavy-duty TimberLine towers allow you to mount 2 Yakima crossbars to your vehicle with raised, factory side rails. The towers install with rubber-coated stainless steel straps that wrap around your side rails. And the TimberLines' versatile BarBeds accommodate Yakima's full line of crossbars.
Versatile BarBed
The TimberLine's BarBed is designed to work with Yakima's entire line of crossbars.
The BarBed is curved to accommodate the elliptical shape of the CoreBar and JetStream crossbar. The CoreBar includes brackets that slide over the bar and secure to the towers with bolts. The JetStream attaches directly to the tower with bolts.
The towers also work with Yakima RoundBars with adapters (Y03536 - sold separately). The adapters slide over the bars and secure to the towers with bolts.
Secure Installation with Rubber-Coated Stainless Steel Straps
The towers install easily with rubber-coated stainless steel straps. Simply remove the tower covers, wrap the straps around your raised side rails, and secure the straps to the towers. The straps provide maximum contact and security by wrapping completely around your side rails.
Tighten the bolts inside the towers with the included torque tool to complete installation. This is the only tool you will need to secure the towers to your rails and your crossbars to the towers. The torque tool also helps prevent over- or under-tightening. The tool clicks 3 times once you've reached the correct amount of torque.
Same Key System Locks
TimberLine towers are compatible with Yakima SKS lock cores (Y07204 - sold separately) that allow you to secure the roof rack to your roof. The SKS locks are all keyed alike so a single key opens all the locks. The locks can also be swapped out to make all of your Yakima products keyed alike.

Held tight with no issues. Installation was straight-forward with the instructions being very clear and the settings being self regulated with clicks when the towers were tightened enough onto my VW,s factory installed rack bars.

Excellent roof racks. Very high quality. Easy to install. I put these on my 2019 RAV4 Adventure. I also have a set on the topper of my 2010 Tacoma. Ordering through etrailer was easy. There was very good communication on the packing, shipping and tracking of the roof rack as it was in transit. A wonderful experience.
I’m using these towers in conjunction with the JetStream cross bars. Assembly and setup was easy, all the tools you need are provided, except perhaps a tape measure for mounting. Looks and feels solid and well made. This is my second set of Yakima towers and cross bars. I plan to use this setup for an old roof top hard shell case and for my mountain bike to get to the trail head.
After completing the installation I took it out for a spin to check for wind noise at highway speeds. No discernible noise, I’m very happy about that as I really don’t want to remove these when not needed. For reference these are mounted on a 2019 Subaru Forester Touring with factory raised rails. Plenty of clearance for attaching equipment and gear.
Side note: the gentleman that assisted me on the phone while ordering was very pleasant and helpful, got me the right products very quickly as I was in a time crunch. Two thumbs up!
These mounts have a solid feel are pretty straight forward to install. Everything you need to install them comes in the package. Just don't lose the torque tool.
A couple items that keep me from giving this 5 stars: The number of turns required to set up the mounts are a little extreme. You really need to turn the strap screw 100 times before preparing to install. The mount screw release must be loosened properly or else the cross bar will not install easily. It would be nice if they told you this or mentioned it in the instructions.
Once started, installing the cross bar on the mounts took about 15 minutes. The mount was easy to install on my car's racks. I've only had the system mounted for a day so we'll see how they work under real use.
Boy between Yakima products and etrailer’s customer service it’s a 10 start team. Product was installed by me with a little help from etrailer’s video And it fits great. Now awaiting the Yakima Kayak racks. And of course etrailer delivered it ahead of promised. Again great team to work with.
Timely delivery of my order, as usual! Easy to install on my 2015 4Runner. I took one of the mounts and followed directions just to be sure then the other three went even quicker. I now have the ability to carry up to 3 kayaks, perfect! etrailer is a great company!
The roof rack kit that we received arrived right on time and was easy to install. It fit perfectly on our 2022 Toyota Sienna.
One of the towers was defective. I am now waiting for a replacement. ETA could be into 2022. Otherwise etrailer kept me well informed . Willing to make good on defective tower.If not for this I would’ve given an excellent review. I know this is not on them but manufacturer.
Rack installed easily. Also purchased hitch and carrier from eTrailer. All arrived quickly. Alex J helped me out when my rack wasn't going to arrive on time for my trip. I'm a happy camper (literally).
These Timberline mounts are replacing my Baseline mounts I used on a different vehicle. I was able to use my same bars with these mounts. Easy installation, but I have tried loading my Kayaks as of yet.

The TimberLine Towers allowed me to save the roofrack I have on my Jeep. The first year it worked very well with the help of the [online] video AND THEN the second year I needed that [online] video to help me tighten-up the TimberLine to the car. The TiberLine Towers can be a little tricky due to the multiple connections so be sure to checkout the [online] video.

Dennis - 06/29/2019Instructions were clear and the fit is good. Solid product for my 4 Runner since the factory cross bars were way too low to attach anything without rubbing the roof badly.
I haven't noticed any noise from highway driving.
Added a bike and ski racks and all performed well

I found that etrailer had the parts from Yakima racks that I needed and more importantly I was able to order them as they were on back order. The estimated time was the parts would be in stock on the 8th. I received an update from George that the parts had shipped shortly after the new in stock date. I purchased the TimberLine towers because they would adjust to go around the stake mount bars on my 2020 Silverado. I ow can mount my bike carriers above the bed cover.
Durable products it looks nice and decent. Will travel from New mexico to washington state im not worried coz i trust etrailer
