Parts were thrown into the box haphazardly which resulted in dings and scratches on the parts. additionally the instructions stated that there should be two wrenches and many different screws and bolts, none of which were present in the box. there were no holes or damaged to the box so it seems likely that etrailer simply did not package them, or I was sold a returned / to used product.
this is more a reflection on etrailer rather than Yakima.
Katrina B - 01/03/20232019 Tacoma 5’6” (had factory tri-fold, had to take off the rail pegs for that). Requires the extra track mounting kit #1 (got from Yakima). Very sturdy rack! Simple install, haven’t noticed any wind noise, even at over 75mph and with bars up high. Used 60” HD bars (very nice). Bought for frequent hauling of long/heavier kayaks. Not much steel to rust from the winter salt here. Will probably switch back to tri-fold cover for winters, wish there was an affordable cover option that worked with this.
The best looking and most functional bed rack. The adjustable height is incredibly handy, and the weight and design make removal for using the bed for tall items very easy. We use our racks mainly for kayaks and our SUP boards, but also have occasionally carried ladders and lumber as well. Very durable and dependable. Would easily buy again.

Great product! Just finished installing and it was really simple. It was on back order for a bit but Teresa gave me regular updates along the way. I’m still waiting on my side bars but everything else is installed. Highly recommend this rack.
I have been using this rack for the last 3 weeks now. It's very sturdy and takes 10 minutes to adjust height with the provided tool. I use this rack to haul a 24' extension ladder. I will lower the rack when a ladder is not needed in order to fit my truck into the garage. So far so good.

Absolutely love the rack system. We also attached a cargo basket up on the crossbars. Very useful, greatly increases our cargo capacity for camping trips.

The rack is great. Simple to install, extremely sturdy & very well designed. I drove it to Cars & Coffee yesterday & someone asked me what I needed to haul or if I merely installed them "because they look cool."

I would suggest selling the rack specific for Retrax bed cover. The amount of hardware left over when you add the adapter kit to the standard rack seems really excessive. Rather than be $169 add, it should be a deduct of at least that much.

Very happy this product so far. The adapter kit worked great to mount them on my retrax bed cover. I have been hauling up to 2 kayaks and a rod rack on them and they work great. Very solid and they are the best looking racks I have seen on the road.

Easy installation, great product, great customer service. Super easy to adjust. Some reviews online said the instructions were poor, if you can change a lightbulb you can install this rack. It gives you the torque settings but you need a torque wrench of course. I just used my best judgement and the allen wrenches provided. Some of the best communication throughout the ordering and shipping process I have ever had.

I bought the Overhaul system to carry my wife's kayaks. After a lot of research I decided to go with the Overhaul racks and Yakima's rollers and kayak cradle. I was able to install and adjust the racks in about 2 hours (including a couple of beer and snack breaks). The instruction where clear and easy to understand. Yakima also included the tools needed for install.
The racks themselves look good and are incredibly solid. I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and would highly recommend them.

Last week I installed the rack on my wife's 2019 Toyota pickup truck. Becuse she has a rail/track system on her vehicle,Yakima has designed a special kit to go along with the rack. It took me about 2 hours in the heat of the day to get it finished. Wow, what a great piece of engineering! The rack is super strong and impressive. My wife loves it and several people at her work have inquired about it. I would recommend this rack for anyone who appreciates quality and wants the confidence of knowing that whatever you securely strap down on the cross bars will reach its destination safely. Yakima really hit a home run with this product. I would also like to add that the folks at Trailer.com are quite knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.

They are not an inexpensive purchase but are very nice racks. I have no regrets. I paired them up with two sets of Hullivators and I have a great system for getting my kayaks off my truck and into the water.
