Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima crossbar pads for round or square crossbars, part number Y07415. The Yakima crossbar pads enable you to safely transport your standup paddleboards, surfboards, kayak and canoes on your roof with ease and without damaging the holes, causing any scratches or abrasions on it.Lifting up your standup paddleboard, you can see that it's a foam pad with a nylon covering on it with this vinyl anti-slip material on top, to make sure that the paddleboards or boats stay in place, but also don't get any scratches or abrasions on them.These are very easy to install. They simply wrap around your round crossbars and you just hook them with the fasteners to attach underneath. While we have these on round bars now, they'll also work with square bars as well. The pads themselves measure 30" long by 3" wide by 3" tall and have unlimited lifetime warranty.Now that we've gone over some of the features of the pads let's go ahead and show you how they look. We already have one installed on our rear bar.
To install it on our front bar we'll remove all the hook and loop fasteners on the bottom here and then we'll set it on our bar, opening it up and just pushing it into place as we do. As we get it into place we'll just loosely attach our hook and loops just to hold it where it's at. We'll go to the other side and finish it up.Once our pads are installed, we'll set our standup paddleboard, kayak, or canoe on top of the pads and then tie them down accordingly. I would like to point out that they do not come with the tie downs necessary to secure these to your roof rack, but Yakima does provide certain straps with protective buckles on them, which you can find on etrailer.comThere you have it for the Yakima crossbar pads for round or square crossbars, part number Y07415.
