Hi everyone. It's Evangeline. And today we'll be taking a look at our replacement aero mount bales for your Yakima rooftop carriers, right here at etrailer. So these are gonna work with specific rooftop carriers from Yakima. For example, I have the Yakima FreshTrack. Behind me, I have the Yakima ReelDeal.
Check out the product page for the specific list of actual products this can work with. But, this is gonna allow you to mount your carriers, different shapes crossbars, like your aero crossbars. So whether you damaged, broke or lost your bottom bale, this is gonna be the exact replacement part. This fits right into your different tracks in your top clamp. If that one is the one that is broken, we have those replacement parts right here at etrailer as well.
So to replace them, if you have a slightly damaged one, you just pop it off. If you've lost it, then go ahead and get your replacement bale, pop that right into the track. Make sure that you hear a click and that it's fully seated. Once that's in place, you can now fit your entire carrier around your crossbar. Bring that back up.
You can now utilize the T-Bolt on your top clamp and then fit it into place. And just like that, we can now clamp our carrier around our larger aero crossbars. Now, this was a look at the bottom clamp or the replacement bales for your Yakima rooftop carriers. What if you have other parts that are missing or damaged, we do have those replacement parts. This, up here, is gonna be the replacement top clamp.
You also have the entire replacement mounting hardware, which includes the mounting pad as well as our T-Bolt and our wing nut. Then, oh this at the end is gonna be the tamper proof screw. And then you also have the mounting hardware for the inside. Hopefully, this helped you out with figuring out what you need to replace on your own rooftop carriers, so that you can hit the road again. These brackets worked great! I got a Yakima Fresh Tracks 4 ski and snowboard rack at an REi garage sale and it was missing this part. This order fulfilled my needs perfectly. I’d recommend the description be updated to also note these work with the FreshTracks rack.
They called me and let me know that the parts would have to be back ordered for months and offered to fully refund. I opted to wait as the parts were not critical. They even checked back later to verify the parts were still wanted and i was still willing to wait.
