Excuse the dark picture but I installed the hitch by myself as soon as I got home when I saw that it had been delivered. Hitch receiver is very well made and high quality. Everything aligned perfectly and it looks awesome installed. The only thing visible is the receiver tube. Absolutely cannot beat this hitch for the price. Thank you etrailer!

The product arrived on time and fit my car perfectly. The installation video was also very helpful. I have also attached a bike rack to it without any issues. I will say I had one slight problem that I read in some of the other reviews. I had to trim the plastic underbody cover on the drivers side near the exhaust. It is the only way it will fit with the hitch attached.

Installed on 2018 Rogue. Easy install. Works well for my intended purposes. I use it for storage and transportation racks. It is a little off center, but I don't use it for towing.

2012 Nissan Rogue
I was able to install this myself, the bolt holes matched up perfectly. The only difficulty was cleaning out and rethreading the bolt holes because they had 10 years of rust and dirt in them, but that is not eTrailer's fault!

2015 Ford Transit Connect
Delivery of hitch was amazingly quick..much sooner than I could have imagined. But the container box was demolished during shipping. Thankfully somebody in shipping had the brilliant idea of using strapping tape to hold accessory parts onto the metal hitch or they would have fell out of the holes in box and lost in transit.
It may be after Xmas before installation happens & I intend to report any difficulties involved but the hitch appears to be high quality & well built out of hefty metal..I was very impressed in how sturdy & strong it appears. (This is NOT a flimsy imitation piece of junk). Thanks for a super web site and pleasant purchase experience.

Install was fast & easy, even though I had nobody helping. Had to trim underbody splash panel which took as much time as hitch. Was impressed w how nice & snug it looked installed not obvious seeing it unless looking for it. My daughter has same model Rogue so it was an easy decision to purchase a second one for hers.

2017 Nissan Rogue
Great hitch fits our Nissan Rogue perfectly and instructions are great. I use a floor jack to help hold up the hitch to get bolts started. Do clean the bolt holes as instructed and assure you can hand thread each hole prior to installing.

Nissan Rogue
The etrailer hitch is a great looking, sturdy hitch that is simple to install. I backed up our Rogue onto oil change ramps to give myself a little more room to work, but even that is not entirely necessary. The only problem was a defective factory weld nut on the passenger side (not the hitch's fault) that made it a bear to remove one of the bolts for the factory tow plate and install the new bolt for the hitch. But with some effort and a long enough ratchet, we can now carry our bikes.
A couple installation tips:
- You'll need a 5" or longer socket extension to reach the bolts, especially on the passenger side.
- You don't have to lower the exhaust.
- Despite what the instructions say, you CAN replace the appearance panels. (Not required, but I hate having extra parts when I'm done.) The passenger-side panel is easy to reinstall.
- The driver's side appearance panel needs to have a rectangle cut out of it to fit around the hitch, 3 3/8" wide starting 3" up from the bottom of the flat part, with a small triangular notch in the corner. (See photo.) You can cut the plastic with a sturdy pair of kitchen shears. You'll need to work it a little bit to get around the exhaust pipe, but then just clip it back into place.

Receiver was easy to install. About an hour. I did not have fancy lift to hold receiver, so my son in-law held it up as I started bolts. Looks nice installed.

2013 Nissan Rogue
No issue with installation. The bolt holes all lined up properly. Quality seems to be good. My only complaint is that some coating was scratched off on the face of the receiver tube that is visible from behind the vehicle. I used some black paint to touch it up so at least the color blends. I plan to leave a cover on when not in use anyway, so I still give it 5 stars for price and function. I had to use a pretty big rise to get the trailer level, and the receiver is so long that the safety chains are too short. I will need to add extensions to the chains.

Nice hitch!! Fairly easy to install. It took more time replacing the plastic panels that it did to install the hitch. I'm 75, and with a little help from my wife, helping me to hold it in place, it was easy.

The hitch was put on by a place that does hitch installations frequently. My only concern was that my bike rack still wiggles in the hitch. I bought a u-shaped stabilizer that helps a little bit. I just freak out when I see my bike wiggling in the rear view mirror as I drive down the highway.

The hitches are not made correctly. It did not line up with the holes on my car by quite a bit. Be prepared to have to bend these to line up. Between my brother and I we have used 3 of these hitches and none of them were lined up. They claim it’s due to shipping but it’s a manufacturer error.

2018 Nissan Rogue (not the Sport model). Perfect fit. Hidden well. Will order again from etrailer for my next car.
I use a longer ball mount to ensure trailer clears the bumper. For the electrical I purchased the Nissan wiring harness and cut the end off instead of going through the floor of the car (not a good idea in my opinion). Instead I used the connector portion that came from etrailer and hang it out the hatch when needed (also avoids the weather wear).

2012 Nissan Rogue
The trailer hitch receiver for my 2012 Rogue was easy to install. We did not need to drop the muffler. The holes lined up perfectly. The only problem we had was removing the rust from the exposed weld nuts to attach the hardware on the driver's side.

All holes did not line up on the frame/ hitch. One hole was off by half the diameter of the bolt. This should not be this way , they should all live up perfectly

You mentioned that the bolt holes did not line up on the frame. It sounds like that the side brackets were knocked out of alignment which is why the bolt holes are not lining up. This can happen while in transit to our facility or to you. We do have a great FAQ that provides ways to move the brackets back into alignment so the hitch can be installed.

I received the Class III trailer hitch for a 2017 Nissan Rogue from etrailer quickly and with no problems. The hitch was well packaged and included instructions and the mounting hardware. I found the written instructions to be a bit confusing, but a search of the internet revealed a video on the etrailer website showing the installation on the same vehicle.
