Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2014 Mazda 3
Question:
Hi, I have a 2014 Mazda 3 Grand Touring hatchback and need to fit a Thule bike rack that needs a 2inch hitch. What would be the best trailer hitch and hitch adapter to be used without a stabilizing strap? Thanks

For a hitch your best option will be the Draw Tite Hitch part # 24914 that you referenced. This is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch opening that won't require a stabilizer strap when you are carrying a bike rack with it. If you were to use an adapter like part # 80303 to allow this hitch to carry a Thule bike rack designed for 2 inch hitches you will cut the capacity of the hitch in half so this would not be a great route to go since the tongue weight capacity of this hitch is only 200 lbs. I attached an FAQ on hitch classifications for you to check out as well.
Your best option would be to get a bike rack that is designed to fit a Class I hitch like the Swagman XTC2 part # S64670. This rack will fit this hitch and has been highly reviewed by our customers who have tried it so I would recommend it for you.
