Tow Bar, Base Plates and Other Necessary Equipment for Flat Towing 2015 Chevy Colorado 4WD
Question:
I have a 2015 colorado 4WD truck. In the package I see two sets of wire. Do I need one set for each light. Do you know when you will receive the base plate for the same truck.

I'm assuming that you're speaking of the 4-stranded yellow, green, brown and white wire.
One set is for connecting the new taillight bulbs you'll be inserting into the taillight assemblies of the vehicle. You'd cut off one of the 4-pole connectors and wire it to the bulb assemblies. That wiring harness would run under the vehicle up to the front, being sure to avoid anything hot like exhaust components or anything that's moving like steering or suspension components. The wiring harness would terminate at the front grille with a 4-pole connector. You'll only need one # RM-155 for the vehicle.
The other shorter harness is for joining the new 4-pole on the front of the towed vehicle with the 4-pole on the RV. Roadmaster tells me that the # RM-155 is a fit for your Colorado.
Roadmaster offers a base plate kit as part # RM-523182-5, which fits 2WD and 4WD models of the Colorado that aren't equipped with the adaptive cruise control.
You'll also need a Tow Bar. I'd recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, part # RM-522 along with safety cables, # RM-643. You'll also need a supplemental braking system # BLU37TR.
I'll link you to some install videos as well as to some FAQ articles I hope you might find helpful.
