According to my research your 2001 Komfort M17L Lite tandem axle travel trailer weighs 2880-lbs. Although I could not find axle and bearing specs for this trailer, based on its dry weight I suspect it has two 2000-lb-rated axles.

To select appropriate replacement bearings/races/seals you will need to either obtain the part numbers from the current parts or take precise measurements with a digital or dial caliper of the various points on your spindles where these parts ride. By far the easier method is to pull a wheel and hub, and remove the outer and inner bearings and races and then wipe them clean to find their part reference numbers. An installation video is linked to illustrate the process of removing and replacing these components. A link to a how-to article is also included at right.

I have also linked for you a photo that shows both the typical location and appearance of these part numbers and also the points on the spindle that require measurement - to the nearest thousandth or 3 decimal places - if you cannot find the part numbers. Again, its much easier to use part numbers to find replacement parts.

We may have a complete kit that includes the correct combination of components for your particular axles, or it may be necessary to order individual parts if a complete kit is not offered. We can help you either way.

Check your axles for a sticker or plate that indicates their weight rating. If they are in fact 2000-lb-rated axles then you can use the link at right to select that axle capacity from the options shown. You can then click on Bearing Kit at the top of the page to see if your required combination of parts is offered as a kit. For example, if your axles are 2000-lb-rated and use # L44643 for both inner and outer bearings and a grease seal # 34823 then TruRyde Bearing Kit # BK1-100 will be the correct part. You'll need to order four of these kits to re-fit both axles.

In the event that we do not have a kit the includes all the correct parts you can still use our search box to find each individual part number.

You might consider using a bearing packer tool like the LubriMatic Tools # L70025 that can be used along with a standard grease gun to fully and evenly pack your new bearings with grease. We offer Pistol Grease Gun # L30416 and Standard Grease Gun # L30200. These can be used with a wheel bearing grease cartridge like # L11390.
