The fit kit you referenced, # DK292, is not a fit for your 2014 Ford Focus.

I recommend the Rhino Rack Vortex roof rack which uses the following parts:

Vortex Crossbars, 49" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall, part # RRVA126B-2
2500 Series Leg Kit, part # RRRLKVA
Vehicle Specific Fit Kit, part # DK307

This roof rack system will work for you whether you have the sedan or the hatchback.
