Location of the Vehicle Plug-In Wiring Harness on a 2015 Ram 1500 CrewCab
Question:
I bought a new pig tail for my controller from E Trailer for my new Ram 1500 crew cab and located the 4 prong plug in with no problem. The single wire connector is not on the wiring harness in the location it should be. I took it to the trailer place where I bought the trailer and the installer said he could not locate it either. Said he had installed many on late model Ram trucks and assumed that Dodge had stopped supplying it in the harness. Can you help? Is there a way to wire in the new pigtail. Thanks.

Expert Reply:
The correct brake controller wiring adapter for your truck is part # 3024-P. It will connect to the electrical connector up under your dash (it's to the right of your right knee, behind the dash and wrapped in grey foam tape). This will enable installation of your Prodigy P3 brake controller # 90195.
