Does a 2012 Dodge ram Mega Cab Dually Require a Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch

If your 2012 Ram is a short bed then you would need to use either a slider/glider 5th wheel hitch or replace the pin box on the trailer with a Sidewinder and use a fixed 5th wheel hitch.

A lot is going to depend on the width of the trailer as well.

I would need to know the series of your truck and the width of the trailer to determine what all will fit and if you will have enough clearance with just a slider hitch.

If you do end up needing a Sidewinder then I would need to know the manufacturer and model number of the pin box itself to determine if there is a Sidewinder that will fit. this information is usually on a sticker or plate on the pin box itself.
