Question:
I am looking for a front hitch for my 2008 GMC 1500 4x4. I see that you have hitches made by both Curt and Reese. Do you have a picture of either of these installed on a similar truck? I think both of these are going to lower my ground clearance, do you know which one will have the reduce the clearance the least? Thanks

Currently, 2 front mount hitches fit your 2008 GMC 1500 4x4. They are the Curt # 31322 and Draw-Tite # 65052. Both have a 500 pound vertical pull and 9,000 pound line pull.
The specifications on the Draw-Tite hitch # 65052 from the top of the mounting brackets to the bottom of the receiver hitch is 7-3/4 inches. See diagram I included. You will need to measure down from the bottom of your frame 7-3/4 inches and from that point measure to the ground to obtain your clearance amount.
Curt # 31322 will have a ground clearance of 9-3/4 inches from the ground to the bottom side of the receiver. See the picture I included. If you have bigger tires other than stock, the measurement will increase a bit.
Both of these hitches require a little trimming of the front fascia.
I added a helpful article for you too about hitch installations and a installation video for the Curt # 31322. It's a very similar installation to your 2008 GMC 1500.
