Finding Replacement Wheel Bearings for Log Splitter With a 3/4 Inch Diameter Spindle

Question:

I need to replace bearings in a wheel on a log splitter. I dont have access to calipers but I believe the closest part number to what I need is the Replacement Trailer Hub Bearing - LM11949. It is only a 0.75inch spindle. It appears the race is in good shape so I only need both the inner and outer bearings as well as the seal for the inner side and the flat washer for the outer side. I couldnt find a kit this size so need to know if you carry the seal and/or washer that is compatible with the LM11949?

The reason we recommend folks use a digital or dial caliper to measure the bearing ID is because it's essential that the measurement be highly accurate. Using bearings that don't fit perfectly can lead to all kinds of problems.

Typically, a hub will use a different inner and outer bearing, with the inner bearing being larger. To determine which seal is used with a particular bearing, you need to know the outside diameter of the race used with that bearing. The LM11949 uses a LM11910 race with an outside diameter of 1.781 inches. The # CE16305A grease seals have a 1.78 outside diameter and a 1 inch inside diameter. If the surface of the spindle where the grease seal rides is 1 inch in diameter, the CE16305A seal will work for you.

I can confirm this if you can provide the bearing reference number from the inner and outer bearings (if they're different.) I've linked you to an FAQ article that addresses how to replace bearings, seals and races if you're not familiar with the process.
