Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver to Accommodate a Hitch Bike Rack for a 2015 Honda Fit
Question:
I am purchasing a 2015 Honda Fit and want to put a hitch on for my bike rack. My rack is a 2inch model. Do you sell a hitch with a 2inch opening? If there a conversion kit from a 1.25inch to a 2? Thank You!

I have a couple recommendations for your setup!
First, the trailer hitch I recommend is the Draw-Tite 1-1/4 inch hitch # 24920 because it's currently the most popular hitch for your 2015 Honda Fit. It will have a 200 pound tongue weight capacity. The 2015 Honda Fit will work with only Class-I accessories such as bike racks, cargo carries, ball mounts and tube covers. Please note that only Class-I with 1-1/4 inch receivers are available for the 2015 Honda Fit.
Keep in mind that when you add an 1-1/4 inch to 2-inch adapter like # HTAD it reduces the trailer hitches maximum tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. See the article about hitch adapters and extenders I included too.
For example, all the trailer hitches for the 2015 Fit have a maximum tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds. You will subtract 100 pounds when adding an adapter like # HTAD. As a result, providing you 100 pounds maximum to work with regarding the weight of your hitch bike rack and bikes combined.
Depending on the weight of your current bike rack, I would really consider looking into a new 1-1/4 inch hitch bike rack. I recommend the Kuat Beta 2 bike rack # B202-114 because it's made of lightweight aluminum weighing only 12.5 pounds.
A Class-I bike rack is strongly recommended and it's the best option for the 2015 Honda Fit.
I included several great articles and video review too.
