Need a short shank cargo carrier

am interested in purchasing the carrier with a short shank. I want a shorter distance between the carrier and vehicle.

If you are looking for a carrier with a shorter shank that would place it closer to the rear of the vehicle, I would recommend the straight shanked # CC-100 carrier. The shank measures 8 inches from the hitch pin hole to the closest portion of the carrier, while many other carriers measure around 12 inches.
