Does the Blue Ox Patriot Braking System Require Wiring to Tow Vehicle Braking System
Question:
Ive read through the installation instructions on the BLU37TR and I seem to be missing how the Patriot knows the brakes have been applied on the motorcoach. I dont see anywhere where either the Patriot nor the remote are wired into the brakes. The Even Brake has to be wired into the brakes, what am I missing?

The Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR that you referenced does not wire into the stoplight circuit of the tow vehicle at all. The inertia sensor of the unit is always looking for braking action of the tow vehicle. It does not require the stoplight switch of your tow vehicle to start activating at all. When the unit senses a change in inertia that would coincide with braking it begins to start applying the brakes of the towed vehicle.
