Availability of Locking Anti-Rattle Diversi-Tech Adjustable Ballmount
Question:
I am interested in an adjustable ball mount hitch, and I have been looking at the DT series. Two questions- with the DT series, can they adjust to zero, meaning they are level with the truck hitch? Next question, it appears if I can a quiet hitch, then I buy the Adjustable Solid tow, and if I want a secure hitch, then I buy the self-locking Adjustable ball mount, however, I cannot buy a quiet hitch that is self- locking?

Due to the fact that the shank that slides into the receiver prevents the ball from being raised (with ballmount in drop position) or lowered (in rise position) far enough for the ball to have a zero rise or drop. This honestly isn't a problem. As long as you can get the trailer within an inch or two of level, it's considered close enough.
You are correct. It's not possible to get a Diversi-Tech locking anti-rattle ballmount because the anti-rattle feature sits right where the locking mechanism would go.
If you really liked the anti-rattle feature of the # DTSTBM6400 ballmount, you could simply use it along with a locking hitch pin like part # e98882.
