Why Should Trailer Tires be Inflated to Their Max PSI

I would like to know if im not carrying the full capcity of the tires, do i still need to put 65 lbs of pressure on my tires which is the recommended by the manufacterer, or do i need to put less pressure. Im traveling about 400 miles on the highway. Thank you!

With trailer tires you want to always run the max psi. Not only does it allow the tire to have it's max capacity when inflated to the max psi, but it also helps prevent the trailer tire from heating up while on the highway as well help prevent sway that would be caused by under-inflated tires.

I attached a help article on trailer tires for you to check out as well.
