The best way to jack up a boat trailer with torsion axles, or straight axles for that matter, is to use a trailer jack that is rated high enough for the weight of the trailer at the point the jack is installed. Going with a higher capacity than needed will be easier on the jack and allow it to last longer.

If you want to jack up the whole trailer, front and back and both sides, you can use the tongue jack for the front and then use a floor jack to jack up one corner at the back of the trailer, place a jack stand to hold it, and then jack up the other side using a jack stand to hold it as well. Make sure the jack and jack stands are also rated high enough for the weight of the trailer.

A lot of boat trailers use a bolt-on swivel jack. I have included a link to the bolt-on swivel jacks we carry.

Can the drop down jacks, that you bolt on and are rated for the weight of the trailer, be used on the frame at the back of the boat trailer for quick safe lifting of the trailer in the event of a flat tire? These are the flat pad jacks. Plus, I would like to use these jacks to lift the trailer for winter storage to keep the tires off the ground. I would rather not use jack stands for safety reasons.

As long as the jacks are appropriately rated for your trailer weight, I don't see any issue with this.
