No Running Lights, and No Brake and Turn Signal on Right Side of Trailer
Question:
the left brake light and left blinker light working but no running lights at all and no brake light or turn signal on right side. I tested by touching the Brown wire to the positive post of the battery and then touching each light post to the negitive battery post and found out that both times the lights came on.

Sounds like the main trailer ground could be bad, or the grounds at each tail light could be bad. You may want to try to relocate the grounds or run all of the light grounds back to the main trailer ground.
Next you may want to check the tow package fuses in the power distribution box under the hood of your truck. If the fuses are blown there has been a short and you should check the trailer wiring out before reconnecting the truck to the trailer.
If the fuses check out use a circuit tester, # PTW2993, to test the wires going into the trailer connector. If you have power for the right turn and brake signal going in, and not coming out, then the connector is most likely bad and will need to be replaced. If there is not power on the brake/turn circuit, you will need to continue testing the wiring until the source of the problem is found.
