How to Carry Pedego Electric Bikes on a 2012 Nissan Maxima
Question:
We are in the near process of purchasing 2 Pedego electric bikes more likely cruisers or interceptors, a step-through for me and a reg one for my husband. Do you have a hitch type 2-bike rack that will connect to a 2011 nissan maxima that will secure both bikes for freeway speeds and mountain driving so they wont go flying out on the freeway or streets?

All of the trailer hitches for your 2012 Nissan Maxima are Class I hitches such as # 24796 which have a 200 pound tongue weight capacity. The tongue weight is the combined weight of your bikes plus the carrier.
I looked up the bikes you are interested in and they all weigh right around 60 pounds or less (including the weight of the battery). There are very few Class I compatible bike carriers that can handle that much weight but we do have some options.
First, we have the Kuat NV, # NV12G. This rack weighs 52 pounds but has a 60 pound capacity per bike. It holds the bikes at the front wheels with an arm and hook so bikes with front fenders are not compatible. I have linked a video review of the Kuat NV for you.
Your second option is the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 which comes in at 45 lbs and has a weight capacity of 65 lbs per bike. I have linked a video review of this carrier as well.
