To install a 7-way on your Santa Fe, the easiest way to proceed would be to first install a 4-pole connector, part # 118258. You can see the installation instructions and an install video by clicking the provided link.
How you proceed from here will depend on what you're trying to do. If the trailer you're wanting to tow has a 7-way connector, but NO brakes you can simply use a # 37185 adapter. The adapter would plug directly into the 4-pole, and the white ground wire would ground to the vehicle frame. The remaining three wires could be taped off and bundled up out of the way.
If you're wanting to install a brake controller because your trailer has brakes, you'd install the 4-pole as mentioned above, then you'd install the controller using our Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC7. The kit incudes the # 37185 adapter mentioned above, as well as all the hardware, wire and circuit breakers needed to complete the install. For a brake controller, I'd recommend a proportional model like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. The P2 is very easy to use, which makes it one of our most popular brake controller.
I'll link you to install instructions for the ETBC7 kit, as well as to an install video showing a controller being installed on a 2012 Santa Fe.
I'm not sure why you were wanting wire color codes, if what I've mentioned above doesn't cover what you're trying to accomplish, please let me know.
