Question:
I have new 2015 Chev 2500. If I hook up the seven way plug the brakes lock up. All lights work but have to unplug the sevenway to move the trailer Can you advise what I can do to fix it?

I am almost certain that the issue is that the connector on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 and the one on the trailer are pinned out differently. I have included a picture that shows how a vehicle and trailer side 7-Way are wired (ignore the colors and go by function).
It sounds like the brake output pin on the trailer is matched up with the 12 volt pin on the truck. As soon as you plug in the trailer the brakes will be getting 12 volts so they lock up. All you have to do is configure the connector on the trailer so that it matches up with the truck and you will be good to go.
